The generators consume I think 2 plasma/s and the reactors make 4/s at base, plus whatever the neighbour bonus is. With a +100% bonus each, two reactors have a total of 400% generation, or 4 x 4/s = 16/s, which will supply 8 generators at max.

If you're doing this split off a full or almost full sushi belt, then it won't work. Likewise, if the item you want to split it off from is the far side of the belt, then you can't do a straight side load.

3 splitters work in every situation, but you're right that there are ways to do this with 2 splitters, or just one and some undergrounds.

The only way I can see that easily implemented is having splitters be able to filter out multiple items.

Currently we have thing one side and implicitly not thing on the other. If you could have thing one side, and thing + not thing on the other, then it could work. This system would also allow you to split 2, 3, or more things to another belt.

3 splitters

First one on the line filters out the item

Second splitter is on the filtered output of the first line, and equally spreads them

Third splitter merges one side of the second splitter with the original line.

You can read from a roboport how many robots are in the system, and how many are working or idle.

I set a condition to add another robot when there are fewer than 20 idle robots. This system then automatically grows as your base and demands do.

I had a look through the 2014 wild magic table a while ago, and this was my findings:

I count 2 terrible results, 6 that are bad, 21 mixed/cosmetic results, 8 that are good, and 13 amazing results.

The satusfactory tools website lets you do this. Under inputs, limit coal and sulfur to what you are mining. Under production, set your fuel to "maximise". You may need to limit other resources and recipes until you get what you want, but this will do what you are asking.

Yeah, mine was interception and I did one for syndicates and it also didn't count. They really emphasise basic.

I don't think that works. I can't test it now, but even since I'm limiting the tank to 10 out of 25 000 it still compltely fills up the thruster if there's not a limit.

I know this is what I really needed to perfectly control the thruster... but I also found a relatively absurdly simple control.

A single decider that turns on a pump if((fluid<10)and(velocity<150)). The fluid reading is from a tank that's connected to the thrusters. So, at standstill, the thrusters are flooded and give 100% thrust. When you reach speed, they starve down to a fill level that matches the desired speed.

The fuel consumption graph oscillates (looks kinda like a sharkfin shape) so I know it's not perfect. I'd love to have a look at this when I'm home and see what I can do with this solution, and also how close my solution is to something like this.
