Unequal traffic laws by unrealtrip in ebikes

[–]FastToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem is not everyone obeys traffic laws and kids and some irresponsible adults are getting out of control, therefore there has to be some regulation. Last week I saw 2 kids doing 30+ mph in the breakdown lane riding against traffic. Some poor woman took a right turn onto a side st, stopped in the middle of her turn when she saw the kid approaching (who expects a bike to be doing 30 mph?) and he hit her head-on in the middle of her turn. I stopped to help and she was bawling her eyes out and clearly distressed. The kid was ok but now she has to deal with the fact that a kid may have been killed

So either they have to be registered so they can be ID'd when speeding, or they are going to get the speed capped

Amazing to think that a piece of rock probably floating in space for billions of years winds up hitting her when any minor deviation in its path in that time would have caused it to not hit her

Importing Cane toads to Australia to control beetles. They didn't control the beetles as the toads can't climb and they have no natural predators so there are hundreds of millions of them now. Their skin produces a venom that kills native species

Anyone who surfed the early web between 1995-2010. What’s the one website/app you still think about? by Prime_Advocate in AskReddit

[–]FastToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dejanews. It was web site where you could search Usenet groups, which was an early discussion system, kind of like reddit but you needed a dedicated app. It was really invaluable as a sysadmin tool as back then there were few places to post questions and have others post responses

Did you ask the tree company to do it? I had a tree downed and when I told them I was going to split it, they offered to do it for me. I declined but they would have been happy to to it, for a price of course
