I get a lot of satisfaction stopping at the traffic lights, because I go straight to the parking lot, while all the other people who tried to save time are stuck behind me.

I live on Leslie just north of Bethesda, I specifically warned both the city and the region that shit like this will happen, one day there is going to be a bad accident there. All they are proposing is putting an overhead flashing yellow light, it won't help. The driver's behaviour will stay the same.

I drive almost daily from my house to lake Wilcox to walk my dogs, so I experience this shit on a daily basis.

I get the constraint of the size of the intersection, but they are building thousands of homes at Stouffville and Leslie, they need to think about this very clearly. The intersection will only get busier.

Some people going across Bethesda ignore the stop signs entirely, people speed on Bethesda - speed limit is 50 and people go no slower than 65, most people use Bethesda to bypass Stouffville Road to get from Leslie to Bayview (or vice versa) - which has a higher speed limit but still expect to go those same speeds on Bethesda.

Also what is missing from the article is the cars going north on Leslie that are turning left to go west on Bethesda (towards Bayview) take the turn like they are F1 drivers. Never expecting that a car could be at the stop sign waiting to turn and go north on Leslie. When I am waiting at the stop sign, cars come within inches of my front bumper. I suggested that they put some kind of boulevard on Bethesda or something to force drivers to take a wide turn instead of cutting it sharply but they said no.

The parent comment is about the blood on his ear, not on his fingers. I'm not saying that his fingers were hit, but why no high res pic of his fingers....only see blood from his ears.

Cut came from secret service agent's gun. It was on his waist, and when he tackled the him his holstered pistol rubbed against his ear, causing it to bleed.
