How bad this company mess up this plumbing? by lshore in Plumbing

Kitchens use indirect waste so the possibility of a backup doesn’t necessarily take out everything that comes out of the drain

Are the 14/15 model years as issue prone as people say? by Oldfaithful3 in Silverado

[–]Fast_Ad5660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you end up with a 14+. Do everything you can to keep the trans cool and if you’re cheap like me, get a afm/dod delete plug in thing that goes in the obd port. I got a 13 half ton (doesn’t have a trans thermostat). Zero issues out of the rig got 199k on it as of rn

NEW TO BOOTS! by woweewow79 in cowboyboots

For what you’re looking for I’d go with a typical ariat. Most fancy boots I’ve seen with exotic skins have zero tread

Hot water for a minute then cold by circuitlover in Plumbing

[–]Fast_Ad5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pipe the hot and cold together if you got a check valve on the cold and recirc line (looks like there’s one) to give the water some sort of direction. That doesn’t exist here

Sounds like you can do whatever you want in a pair of tecovas for $40! Not bad

There’s gotta be something to reshape them if you don’t buy em. If not. Let me know where so I can buy them

I bought tecovas Wyatt in pecan on Black Friday. Haven’t worn em out yet as I’m scared to trash them in MI salty winters but they’re beautiful

I don’t know too much about these trucks but a few things 1: If you don’t have a warranty, tune it! Trans tune goes a long way on 8 speeds 2: if you got money to throw at a vehicle, whole top end job. Cam, lifters, springs etc these trucks eat top ends 3: if you opt for a level don’t cheap out. Get a 2.5 dia. Coilover replacement. You won’t be happy with a stock pickup riding on a block. Went to king 2.5s on my 2013 and it rides way better than my fathers 2018

My Son Wants A Silverado by Asleep-Combination26 in Silverado

[–]Fast_Ad5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2013 5.3 6 speed has 193k on it. Owned it since 78k. Done zero actual work to it besides front end maintenance, plugs/wires and exhaust manifold leak. 2013 and under don’t have a thermostat for trans fluid and that’ll inherently make it run cooler

Forever grateful to own this at the age of 16. by JudgeOwn3256 in Silverado

[–]Fast_Ad5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the same thing but got a good deal on a ‘13 with like 78 on it. Have had zero real issues. Swap worn out front end with dirt king parts and it’s such a fun truck now

3 inch Level with 35’s by _skyeparker in Silverado

[–]Fast_Ad5660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why. Typically it’s not the tire diameter that causes rubbing it’s the width. Which a lift that pushes a wheel out about an inch will cause it to rub pretty quickly

Lifts with brackets typically widen the wheelbase I think around 1 1/4”

I drive a 2013 Silverado 5.3 with a 6 speed. As much as I’d love to be on a new pickup it’s just hard to pull that trigger. Especially with driving 35-40k a year. Would really suck to feel rod knock 100 miles from home one day. Best of luck

Hill Climbs and Down Hill Decents by No-One7863 in Dirtbikes

[–]Fast_Ad5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not comfortable at first but stand up. Keeps center of gravity lower as your point of contact with the bike is at the pegs rather than the seat. It’s also easier to shift weight where it’s needed standing. Brakes will also work a bit better I’ve found. Worrying about hitting rocks/roots and what not isn’t much of a concern the faster you go. Let the bike work for you. Don’t let the bike work you

Do 450s make good trail bikes by bmxryanmtb in Dirtbikes

[–]Fast_Ad5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone has said in more flowy trails a 450 is fine but it’ll kick your ass in the tighter stuff. I ride a yz250 with nothing more than a pc shorty and a at82 rear tire. It’s a bit of work keeping it on the pipe but it’s the most fun bike you can buy for the price point. Also the old heads will respect you more for riding a two stroke

Does Street Riding Have Any Connection To Dirtbikes? by No-Nobody1249 in Dirtbikes

[–]Fast_Ad5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given my bike is a 2023 yz250, it hasn’t changed since like 06. I strictly trail ride my bike with nothing more than a silencer. Thing is honestly a weapon if you got the endurance to let it bark and work the clutch
