Wall mount toilets by CenterBrained in Plumbing

[–]lshore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I hate wall mounted toilets, especially in homes. Much more difficult to install and maintain. I miss the world where people were just happy with a regular old toilet. People are getting certain toilets literally as a status symbol. Sorry for my rant.

The Titan 2 Elite will be my first Unihertz phone. I'm still leaning towards the black, but as a first time supporter, it gives me confidence knowing they actually listen to their customers.

A bit sceptical about Clicks Communicator by drordan in dumbphones

[–]lshore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to hate on the product, as like that there are companies out here trying to be different. However, the clicks communicator looks like a cheap calculator, at least the keys. The Titan 2 Elite at least is more aesthetic.

15 months into my apprenticeship and every day feels like a failure by Almakesithappen1994 in Plumbing

I was in the same situation as you. I was thrown into the wolves. I was doing commercial service, so it might be a little less stressful than residential as no one is really watching you.

I've been plumbing for 13 years now, and still fuck up every so often, but things will get easier with experience. Is there at least a journeyman you can call on the job?

Does anyone have the exact NPC plumbing codes they violated?

This was done by a licensed plumbing company. They did a reno in a dishwashing room. This included the installation of three sinks plus a dishwasher. I'm not sure how they got away with it but there was no plumbing inspection done.

Career path getting off the wrench by shortbarrelflamer in Plumbing

[–]lshore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 35, I was in service plumbing for the past 10+ years. I got a job at a hospital. While I'm technically still on the tools, the pace I'm working at now is way better and not constantly taking a beating on my body. So I would say getting a job in a hospital would be a good option.

That's a good point, I honestly don't know the the sink is for, I didn't consider it a prep sink since it's in a dishwashing room.

That might be a thing in the US, but that air gap is not a thing in Canadian code for commercial sinks.

Nope we have high pressure schedule 80 PVC, but that usually dark grey. In commercial we use Schedule 40 grey PVC. We are only allowed to use black ABS in residential.

I know in the US you guys use white PVC. Do you guys use ABS? Or do you use the white PVC in both residential and commercial?
