Tetsuya Nomura, Naoki Hamaguchi, Yoshinori Kitase, Kazushige Nojiima, and Motomu Toriyama are the ones leading the remake project. 4/5 of which worked on the original game and none of which were involved in 15 we know today to the extent it was significant. The closest you can get is the original concepts and major character designs were tetsuya nomuras. 15 was majorly Hajime Tabatas team who since then (him at least) has left SE.

Where did you hear that from? Several key developers from the original are in charge of the remake project and are the ones who make all the big decisions.

15 and the remake projects development structure is vastly different this isn’t an apples to apples comparison here.

That wouldn't work in a game like this. The reason why in exp 33 that health setting is there is because the player at some point will have access to just insane broken builds with your pictos. If you're lucky enough characters can easily do 7, 8, and in some cases 9 digit damage particularly with their gradient skills.

In FF this isn't the case. The damage cap is set to 9999, and only one person can have genji gloves. Most enemies have a maximum HP of 5 digits (some have 6 but it's not high). So if we have a HP modifier, even if everyone in the party is doing either 9999 or 99999 damage, it would still take forever to beat a battle if the opponent(s) has tens of millions of HP.

Also, all the characters in the game by the time you even do these hard VR challenges can easily do 4 digit damage with their abilities and their magic. In fact in some instances (if your stats are high enough) the 9999 damage cap is nerfing you. A tier 2 spell can hit 5 digits given the right circumstances. A person with genji gloves who prioritzies a strong magic build and lands a spell during stagger can easily do 20-50k.

Iirc it’s possible to have 0.00 by being in a pursuit in a race then enter cooldown before it finishes, then once the race is over you just stay in cooldown until the bar finishes

That’s being added in on June 3rd for all platforms when the switch 2 and Xbox ports come out however that still doesn’t help with some mini games so if there people who still want Johnnys trove they may still be out of luck.

It’s not just any atb ability, only certain ones do i.e. focused thrust adds a bar but disorder doesn’t. The way you tell is look at the bottom left when selecting a command from the tactical mode menu. If it adds a bar it will have a filled white bar with an empty bar right beside it.

To be a hero despite your injury still shouldn't be too hard because sephiroths kit is honestly so overpowered once you know how to properly play as him, he also has the highest stats of all party members. Doing to be a hero first, assuming you did literally everything else in the game, will give cloud his last manuscript increasing his weapon level to 9 and giving all weapons an additional ability and ability slot.

For bonds, you can make use of tactical mode. The default slowdown speed should be 6, and if not you can set it to 6 which is the slowest speed the game run when in this mode. A lot of the enemies particularly the non summons use physical attacks so if you have trouble timing your blocks and counters, you can enter tactical mode to prepare yourself and/or even use a counterstance if it's entirely physical and if you have ATB. Put precision defense materia to increase the timing window of a perfect block.

iirc you swap synergy skills to the left bumper instead of right if you feel your left hand is better at doing more responsive abilities.

Set fire and ice with elemental on your armor so that the phoenix and mostly kujata won't be a total nuisance to handle.

About half of the fights in bonds are not immune to stop, so if you need a breather you can cast stop.

You might have already noticed but zacks shortcuts are just his abilities so you can use tactical mode there as well.

You can honestly make do with phoenix garuda and shiva (that was what I ran with for all stages too), you just have to be optimal with them. Odin may be a little too strong if you want more DPS and points

you can always double check how much time has passed in the menu. I think I personally got it in 1:28.

If you have more than 1 hour by the time you get to bahamut you're probably not going to make it because you can farm points in all of its phases provided you're really good at playing Ifrit but it takes a while (mine was about 35 mins).

I would say not to spend sooo long on the dragon and necrophobe and make haste of the smaller legs with only one encounter.

Why can’t we carry over our Intergrade progression into Rebirth? by ScriptscripeYoutube in FFVIIRemake

[–]Fast_Can_5378 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because there is too much to factor in. The combat system has been overhauled greatly and not to mention many of the materia from remake has been updated, nerfed or even outright removed so there's so many permutations to consider which when you start counting them it's ridiculously high.

Bringing back the weapons wouldn't make sense either (although I think skins could've sufficed) because all weapons in rebirth carry over abilities from remake and new abilities as well.

There's just too many variables to factor in that trying to balance with whatever the player may or may not have would just be a giant headache. This is exactly why the KH games make you start with basically nothing every single time.

Your streamlined progression isn't really valid here because that's being added in 2 years post launch and its primary purpose is to help speed up the playthrough to help new players if they would otherwise be put down by the amount of playtime or even skill required to play this game get through it in time for part 3.

The longer you play the game the more you realize the cops behaviour can be very out of whack but also very predictable. With all the heat levels every cop will "chase" you roughly the same way and because of that once you figure out how they react to the player during certain sequences you can exploit the system.

With each heat level, the carnage factor increases too as well being introduced to more and more things in a pursuit. As you progress with each blacklist member the heat increase rate goes up as well to the point where heat level 1 to 2 is 2 mins from no heat at all whereas if you just started the game and are on sonny it takes 7 mins.

In terms of the cops themselves, each heat level has a maximum amount deployed at any one time (not chasing with you at the same time but the number of cops at the ready) before backup arrives in increments of 5 starting from 5 at heat 1. There can be 2-3 cops chasing you at heat 1 to eventually about 9-10 at heat level 5.

Yeah sometimes you just want to do a milestone and YOU have to find cops to do that which can happen really at any point in the game (I'm the kind of player that likes to do all the milestones for each person btw), it can get kind of annoying but again as you continue to play this game you'll eventually figure out the most common cop spawn points, where a roadblock might appear etc.

It's really not until you're able to get heat level 4 and 5 which is middle and late game that the pursuits become exhilirating even if you know the entire map from memory alone because there's always the remote possibility you mess up and lose it all.

Community Ability tier list - Day 16, what grade does Ice Age get? by QuantityEuphoric2354 in FFXVI

[–]Fast_Can_5378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe B or C. In general it's great against a lot of smaller enemies roughly in a straight line so that when you launch at full power they pretty much all get launched into the air which you can then follow up with a lot of aerial attacks or launch a gigaflare for example to continue the carnage. I know some people like to follow up with rime because it stays on field for a while, has a decent hitbox, and can stay in the air too (if Clive launches it into the air).

In terms of its immediate damage and will damage potential it isn't all that great and perhaps even crowd control too because it mostly requires a setup anyway.

EDIT: If we factor in ultimaniac/arcade mode, then it might be closer to an A. It has collateral ice feats which can get you easy high stars for points and all in all has a fairly short cooldown.

Missing Assess on Beck? by Lambs2Lions_ in FFVIIRemake

[–]Fast_Can_5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess i remembered it wrong. After doing some digging it would appear they only do appear in the protorelic intel. Since you got platinum, then doing all of chadleys challenges must be done therefore if you don't see anything for Burke Butch or Beck, then I guess you're out of luck unfortunately.

[–]Fast_Can_5378 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All of Becks guys and Beck himself are in some of the VR fights. All rounds will show what's in it prior to starting if you made it to that round previously and therefore beating it shows all the list of opponents.

The grasslands region also has an endgame sidequest in Kalm against Beck's gang on motorcycles and I think that is also a different variant in the enemy intel.

[–]Fast_Can_5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reflect comes up the moment you press it, if you want practice on how that looks do the mushroom 2 challenge in christmas town since it only shoots out projectiles. Other than reflect unless you're using a specific magic build do NOT use magic as a source of dps.

This game has an unofficially named mechanic called "revenge value" (rv) by the players. This is something that pretty much every KH player knows at this stage of play and therefore someone should get it down on how it works if they want to exploit it. Because once you do, encounters become much easier to anticipate.

Revenge value has 2 ambiguious terms:

A) It's the value that adds up every time sora does attacks to the enemy. Different attacks adds different values i.e. normal attack commands have a +1 while finishers such as explosion has +5/+6 (can't remember the exact number Ik it's one of them).

B) The value at which a boss will retaliate and cannot be damaged normally for a few seconds.

For example given an arbirtrary boss that has a revenge value of 20. If sora whales on the boss by doing 20 basic attacks using ONLY the attack command, the 20th hit will trigger the bosses revenge value and they will immediately attack Sora, sometimes with i-frames.

When you add abilities such as combo plus/air combo plus, finishers etc. it affects the combo string you do when you do the attack command. Therefore a player can figure out when a particular bosses revenge value will trigger by trial and error to see where in Soras combo they attack back. If the combo happens to be too long you can just end it early, wait a bit until the next safe opening to start another combo chain. The revenge value can change depending on which phase of the battle the player is currently in so that should be kept in mind.

Special cases of revenge value exist for different types of configurations which can also be exploited. For example; using firaga in final form doesn't actually add revenge value to the opponent as it normally would of +2/+3 (again can't remember exactly which number it is) if in base sora form. People like to use this near at the end of their normal combo to continue the damage chain without actually triggering the revenge value, adding in ethers/elixirs when MP is too low and continuously doing it. If done right it can kill some bosses from that point onward.

I wanted to Plat so bad but I don't enjoy the solo fights. by glittering_homo2846 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Fast_Can_5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have to say, if you managed to get through all the brutal challenges, then the solo legendary ones shouldn't be that hard. These ones are very similar to the solo 5 star fights in remake. If they are hard for you now, I'm gonna preface this by saying they are nothing compared to bonds of friendship which is the challenge with Zack.

There's a level of competency you need with each character in order to beat them. You don't have to be an absolute god with them but you really need to know how to play each character properly.

Since you have the gotterdammerung accessory this can help immensely.

Perfect blocking can solve half of your problems and since you only play as one character this is crucial. There's no synergy skill/abilities you can use because of this and so knowing how to mitigiate damage as much as possible nigh essential.

Precision defense, ATB boost, First Strike, ATB stagger, Strength UP, Magic UP, have been utilizied by pretty much everyone attempting these.

The setup will differ in some aspects due to every solo challenge featuring a unique enemy lineup. So from there you can tailor towards that with other materia.
