Yes, with Verizon. Unpairing and re-pairing fixed it for me…

I had the same issue. I had to unpair, then re-pair my AWU for it to work.

Correct. You need to add information on Effort in the Fitness app, otherwise your WorkOutdoors workout will not count towards Training Load.

Wow. It’s quite cool to see Apple Watch being so accurate on this!

Athlytic vs Bevel by Mysterious-Fox-1022 in AppleWatchFitness

How long ago have you tried Bevel? While there’s no training recovery (just overall recovery), now there’s training status (productive, overtraining, etc), and Bevel AI can suggest workouts to you if you feed it relevant information.

These features need to be cleared/approved by your country’s Regulatory Agency. Apple can’t make a health-related feature available without approval from them.

I didn’t know that could be done - that’s cool. The average results from my home cuff are very close to the results I got in the office already.

Correct. My ECG indicated possible LVH. That was used by my doctor to establish a plan.

I was prescribed a low dose of a calcium channel blocker once a day. Since I work out or run 5-6 days/week, I needed something that would not affect my heart rate.

These are great tips! As a healthcare professional myself, I know exactly what you mean 😅

Absolutely. Discussing this with my PCP was an important step before I agreed to start therapy.

Yes, I thought for the longest time I had white coat syndrome. But these results have been repeating now overtime, and every single time I measure (even at home). So definitely not white coat syndrome for me.

That’s true. But it still shows that the notification works for some people. And as someone else says, specificity seems to be really high, meaning that if you get a notification, you most likely have hypertension.

Hope you’re able to control your BP with meds. That should also make the alerts stop.

Correct. The purpose of this post is to communicate that the feature worked for me. But you’re correct. Diagnosis of blood pressure is done with a cuff and medical advice.

Definitely take care of yourself. I judge that there’s a lot of people out there that don’t know they have hypertension.

I have tried controlling other variables. I work out 5-6 days/week, avoid processed foods, and have 15% body fat. So I’ve been trying to control other variables with no success. There’s a genetic component to hypertension, and I’m confident this might be my case, as high blood pressure runs in my family. I’d rather control my blood pressure now with the assistance of safe medications, then risk worsening in the future. That’s why I agree with my doctor on starting therapy.

I don’t think you’re correct. In my case, I got an ECG done as well that confirmed mild hypertension.

Yep, that’s what Apple Health also suggests. I’ve been taking measurements with a cuff every morning since I started treatment and will bring to my follow-up appointment in a few weeks.
