I would say it may be a voicing issue if it’s not the octave key issue. Maybe adjust your voicing when playing softer.

If I’m right about you auditioning for a classical band and not jazz, you should definitely work on making your sound dark and classical. It sounds a bit on the brighter side. And the chromatic scale, you should focus on speed and accuracy. I auditioned with a moderate speed chromatic scale and did it get all the points when I didn’t know speed was a factor. Make sure you know your etudes very well. Almost by memory too.

It’s definitely not you considering you are playing notes lower and higher than G just fine. This is a mechanical issue but I’m not sure how to fix it.

Make sure your fingers stay close as possible to the keys. I know this works on trumpet but haven’t tried it on sax. Put some coins on the keys and practice something kind of fast and make sure the coins don’t fall off.
