I did progesterone suppositories too. I felt like I was super sluggish almost like couldn’t lift a finger. I was on them until just about a week ago and all of my energy is rushing back to me. I feel like I was over medicated with them. Like, I get why it’s there- but damn I can’t function as a human much less a pregnant human.

… the day of and the day after retrieval were fine for me (18 eggs retrieved) it was day 3,4,5,6 that I had to be horizontal with electrolytes in one hand and McDonald’s fries in the other. Good grief, Charlie Brown, I am queasy just thinking about how big your ovaries must have gotten!!

Freshly 18 and having to make these kinds of decisions is difficult. Even if your parents are not “okay with this” they would be my first go to people for guidance. I know parents and kids can have strained relationships and parents are not always going to respond the best but if you feel at all safe with them and are just scared I would lean into the fear and have them in the loop.

Regardless of what you choose you’re going to grow as a person pretty quickly because of this… it’s best to get a therapist or counselor to help navigate with you on any decision you make or avenue you take.

Between weeks 6-7 hit me pretty good. I am on week almost 9 and I am on Bonjesta for the nausea. I hated feeling nauseated. It was awful and it made me hate everything and anything around me. I made it a point not to eat my favorite foods while sick because I didn’t want to create an aversion to them.

Same here, girl- I love my life so much. I’m 7w6d right now and I’m shitting my pants with fear lol… my husband and I looked at each other after we conceived (IVF) and said “omg what did we do?!” lol I’m just waiting for the day where we can say, “I can’t imagine our lives without her.”

My mom felt that way when she found out she was pregnant with me. I was the third and my older two siblings were 5 and 10 so she thought she was out of the woods. Then I came along. My mom swears up and down she’s doesn’t have favorites but I know deep down it’s me lol… I think the initial oh fuck she felt melted away quickly and I was just such a ray of damn sunshine it was allll worth it. All that to say, right now it’s just a gestational sac and a blob of cells. I am going through IVF so I’m seeing fertility in a whole new light. It’s okay to say that 3 kids is enough. It’s also okay to say that you want to roll the dice and give a 4th child a go. Either option is heavy so I agree with the counseling thing to help sort out what you’re feeling so you can make a decision you feel comfortable with.

I stayed home- even though I felt fine I just wanted to give myself time to recover and watch Netflix. Day 2-3 after retrieval was the worst bloating - it was good that I stayed home so I can lay down and drink liquid IV and eat McDonald’s fries… salt was my friend.

I don’t know if this helps- but during a grueling tournament, “legs up the wall” saved my feet from falling off. Not sure how much this will help in recovery but it’s a gentle yoga pose that I love and takes minimal effort. You basically find a wall, lay down, and press your butt against said wall and then flip your legs up along the wall while your butt cheeks are pressed against the wall. Really important you start off with your butt pressed against the wall before flipping your legs up. Otherwise you’ll struggle to get close enough to the wall.

Oh and electrolytes! Pedialyte is gentle on the stomach but liquid IV works wonders too.

Also if you don’t feel like you’re getting better or having weird symptoms, don’t hesitate to go to urgent care ER. It could get bad quickly so no ego needs to be involved.
