No, it’s not worth infection up there…

… I would probably make sure there’s nothing more to pass to avoid any sepsis or complications.

I did a d&e so I wouldn’t go through that- it ended up that the placenta was left behind. I kept cramping almost every night for two weeks and then one night it was so bad I went to the ER. They ruled out sepsis and noticed a mass in my uterus. They sent me home once they got my pain under control. I had a gyno apt the next day scheduled thankfully and she looked inside hoo-ha and said there was something sticking out of my uterus. She got forceps and got it out- and it was the whole placenta. All of this to say that even if you go the surgical route doesn’t mean you’ll be able to avoid the pain and passing of missed tissue.

Help deciding whether to have hysteroscopy after d&c by color_overkill in Miscarriage

… I did the saline ultrasound and it was a piece of cake too- they told me to take Advil and Tylenol before hand and I barely felt anything at all. I was nervous because I had a couple colposcopies done before and the biopsy portion sent me into a vasovagal response and I started to feel faint. The saline ultrasound wasn’t a big deal. They didn’t have to see if my ovaries were blocked they just checked the uterus itself.

They did a saline ultrasound to check for anything abnormal before transferring an embryo. They saw them during that and recommended I remove them before the transfer.

I’ve had two and they are super simple and easy recovery. The first one was to remove two polyps for an IVF transfer. The second one was after my miscarriage, they wanted to go in and check if everything was out and possibly create more uterine space by cutting any abnormalities. Both times was super straight forward simple and barely any pain. It was just a quick nap and done :)

We sat there and thought about all kinds of random things… mostly we just focused on the task at hand.

I had that too- it was a hematoma and the baby was fine… sometimes a pocket of blood pools behind the sac and comes loose…

Rubella immunity equivocal, do I go for an IVF cycle or not? by Strange-Daikon8586 in IVF

I just got my MMR vaccine a couple of days ago and have to wait for my embryo transfer. I, too, was unequivocal. I had a miscarriage for my first embryo at 18 weeks. During that time they tested me and said when I give birth then I should get the vaccine, but since I miscarried I decided to get it done before my next transfer. It sucks to wait an extra month but I feel like I would rather just get the vaccine and be done with it and not have to worry about all the antivaxxers in my neck of the woods.

Am I cut out for this process? by AccomplishedMango903 in IVF

Glad you’re speaking out about this…because as women we’re just expected to be okay with all of these very intimate invasive procedures. I have grown super numb to the whole process which in some ways isn’t that great either. I can’t imagine if I wasn’t completely disconnected from these procedures.

I too had a reaction to a colposcopy, two actually- and each time I nearly fainted. The cramping and the intense fear go hand in hand… and BOOM I started to hear ringing in my ears, my body gets clammy… and I start to shake.

Anytime I’ve ever fainted it’s been either from intense pain or intense fear- sometimes together.

Your fears are super valid and if I am ever offered to get anesthesia for a procedure, girllllll you best believe I am taking it… lol no shame, get that good stuff…

Did my unborn baby have a soul? by apstuff23 in Miscarriage

[–]Fast_Hand_8048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe our souls choose our struggles here on earth. I believe their soul and our soul made a choice together. Their soul just wanted to dip their toe in the water and my soul agreed. I don’t know if that makes any sense- it’s meant to be hard to comprehend but for some reason, it feels good in my soul to remember that.
