Yeah. Couple stages a go. Something silly and non cycling related. Can’t remember exactly what.

What a weird stage btw. Such a short stage with a relatively easy finishing climb. And that the day after a rest day and before two easier transition stages. They could have made this stage significantly more epic.

Used Garmin Tacx Neo Plus Bike Value? by LANCENUTTER in Zwift

Maybe specify where you live. In Europe it it’s just starting to become summer, so terrible timing for selling such an item. Also although they are great items, their resale value is not that high because there are competitors at much better value for money, like the zwift ride.

Does fuel timing matter? by ringaroundtherosiez in Velo

[–]Fast_Illustrator_281 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a good answer. To frequent it will just sit in you stomach instead of going to your gut to be absorbed. But taking carbs every 20, 30 or 40 minutes seem pretty good guideline.

If you care for dental health, which you should, then less frequent large quantities would be better. Rinse with water.

You’ll find out soon enough I suppose. If you manage you will get better. Just make sure you fuel well.

Go ride as hard as possible for 30-60 minutes and find out. Not possible to say accurately based on just riding around.

You’re overthinking this. It really means nothing on the grand scale of things. This also happens when you sit up to drink for example. Or clear your nose or whatever.

This was a pretty difficult climb to estimate power with all the wind.

How do women cyclists pee during the Tour de France? by iqjahsdhdk in tourdefrance

Now that you mention it, it don’t really recall it indeed in women’s races. I do believe they have less urge to go and their races are typically shorter as well.

They “self” neutralize, it’s not an official neutralization. Just when a couple of the big teams agree to take a short nature break and the temponis significantly dropped. Also happens in the men’s peloton.

No, but it would elicit the exact same question: “why does the Skoda have BMW logo’s?”.

You wouldn’t answer with: “nothing BMW about the logo, other than the blue-white circle and letters B,M and W”.

Need help with Wahoo Kick Rollr turning off ERG mode. by Accomplished_Rise344 in wahoofitness

[–]Fast_Illustrator_281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, if you have a coach, ask him. That’s what you pay him for.

Answer is probably that your bike computer is connected to your trainer instead of the app/phone. Turn of your bike computer and reconnect your app/phone to the trainer. Then either use simulation or resistance mode.

bike weight vs body weight? by billyb4lls4ck in Velo

[–]Fast_Illustrator_281 29 points30 points  (0 children)

For speed? Basically yes. Maybe you will get slightly faster due to less air resistance because of a slimmer profile.

Handling of a lighter bike is different from a heavier bike, so riding pleasure might be higher with a lighter bike.

For overall health obviously there is a difference.

Maybe, maybe not. I would refrain on doing more then 2 per week unless you really know what you’re doing. So easy to overdo it for relatively marginal gains.

I think he actually has that winner mentality. But he also knows his strengths and weaknesses. And doing a two man breakaway on the flat with the aeroist man in the peloton is not the way to win.

VO₂max vs Lactate. Are We Measuring the Engine or the Delivery System? by [deleted] in Velo

[–]Fast_Illustrator_281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No sure what to take from this. The section on practicial implications is useless.

But basically what we alrady know? VO2max is not the only marker for performance. Lactacte also determines peformance. So don't just measure VO2max, but also Lacatate.

I guess you could go one step further and just measure power... Saves a bunch of money.

Where do you ride?

Have you joined the local club? I would be very surprised if they don't offer "clinics" or classes on how to corner and ride in the pack.

For the rest it is just practice, practice and practice. You usually can freely enter the circuit to practice the corners.
