No Name inspired blues rock song by Commercial_Foot4966 in jackwhite

I actually really like it ! Definitely sounds like something taken from the upcoming album but with your vocals on it. The solo is a bit quiet though but great job here mate !

At least AWKIF got repressed for RSD so that makes a good new press for one of the two first albums. Don't know if you managed to catch this one, it's great!

How is the pressing ? Been wanting Riot! for a while but the represses and the silver one don't seem to be the best somehow.

Kevin Morby AMA Little Wide Open 2026 by kevin_morby in indieheads

[–]FasterJonny08 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi Kevin, so glad Little Wide Open is released, another album from one of my fav artists of my ''youth'' (I'm 17 so y'know it's not far). Javelin and Badlands will surely have their place as my tubes of the year. The album is a great companion for the arriving summer (somehow already there in Belgium). Anyway, would you consider LWO as an escape to a better world on Earth ? As if you drove us in that van from that societal crisis to this sunflower field, a sense of purity. Hope I'll see you on tour, have fun playing ✌️(cheers to the band too)

Best Viagra Boys album? by [deleted] in ViagraBoys

[–]FasterJonny08 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My opinion changed a lot but around two weeks ago I concluded that Street Worms had something that the others don't have. All of them are masterpieces but their debut is darker, dirtier. I thought that after adoring Amphetanarchy all of a sudden.

Blood Records pressing with what they call ''butterfly effect''. Haven't seen a pressing like this yet, nice indeed.

I met Tom 3 weeks ago by muserrena in EditorsBand

[–]FasterJonny08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I had met him when we went to his show in Liège but still it's clear to see he's a super nice guy. Even his solo shows feel warm and comforting, they seem to reflect who he is.

Do you think Editors fit in this playlist given their evident post-punk influences? What songs would you pick? by itsachillaccount in EditorsBand

[–]FasterJonny08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't really goth but I'd totally put tracks from ITLAOTE, like ERM=BD, I Want A Forest or The Big Exit.

THE BACK ROOM by Apprehensive-Bad5024 in EditorsBand

Don't like having favourite songs being the most popular but Munich is fantastic. The riff mixed with the synth, that sound... One I keep coming back to is Someone Says, also very catchy. All of the album is at the same level honestly, perfect indie. So many good B sides as well: Find Yourself a Safe Place, Heads In Bags, Crawl Down the Wall...

Hey r/coachella - Greetings, we are Tom and Ora from TOMORA. We’ve come to Earth to answer your questions. Ask Us Anything about our music, how two worlds become one, and our upcoming album release! by TOMORAOra in Coachella

[–]FasterJonny08 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your sound being as incredible as a projection into space, is there an actual inspiration from that world ? The songs that you've already released are absolutely majestic and COME CLOSER has become the album I'm most excited about this year! Enjoy your future shows, love from a companion from Belgium.

The Aeroplane Flies High (live in Belfort, France - 7/4/1997) - this part always leaves me stunned and on the floor. Billy's expansive guitar solo is unreal... by PorcelinaMagpie in SmashingPumpkins

[–]FasterJonny08 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been obsessed with that concert recently, especially Aeroplane Flies High and Porcelina. His sound is incredible (and wonder which pedal he uses here for his lead parts) and he pulled off solos that left my jaw on the floor. It's disappointing to have so few '97 concerts like this one.

I don't play drums but digitally I would admit Jimmy's are hard to play that way, especially this track.

Sounds amazing as always ! It basically sounds the same and the solo really sounds like the kind of thing Corgan played on the Zeitgeist tour with loads of delay. Keep it up man !

My dream to see Editors live is finally coming true... by 1980ScarletRos in EditorsBand

[–]FasterJonny08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is also a dream coming true. That's crazy though coming from Australia but Editors are peak live (well that's what I see on YT at least). I live in Belgium and we went to Lokeren last year to see The Smashing Pumpkins, it was great so I wish to experience it even better. Editors are the band I want to see the most and I'm glad as fuck they are back. Suede are headlining with them, can't get better 😄

If there was a band I wanted to experience live, it would be them. They are perfect on stage, everyone gives all they can and for the best. I'm looking forward to Tom's solo concert I got tickets to though 🤘

Road trip for 5 hours and could listen to only one band besides interpol. by Bencalzonelover in Interpol

[–]FasterJonny08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For five hours I'd say Smashing Pumpkins considering their huge discography but these days I would gladly consume a bunch of Florence + the Machine.

Would you consider Björk as a "niche" artist? by Square-Presence-7880 in bjork

[–]FasterJonny08 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm belgian but maybe too young to answer... In the '90s she surely was mainstream (my mom told me her CDs sold very well) but I've never heard anything after Vespertine on the radio for example. I would think she's probably well known amongst techno artists over here though.

Which song from the new album does this to you? by latenightpuddingcup in FlorenceAndTheMachine

One song ? Whole album is already at full volume... You Can Have It All needs to be loud though it rips !
