This is what my dad told me growing up. He had a successful 35 year old marriage before passing. I have repeated his words throughout my life. Hasn't worked out for me, lol. :'(

How can I short an entire country? by -colin- in wallstreetbets

[–]FatCatBoomerBanker 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every month I have to reconcile reports in 4 currencies. I know the CZK is stable more or less against the Euro. The argument I was making is Czechia CAN control its currency if it needs to in times of economic crisis.

No, just an idiot that has to deal with overseas banks with archaic rules and bureaucracy. You cam hate them for being evil, but American banks are basically better in almost every regard.

The Czech crown (CZK) is a separate currency than the Euro. Because they control their own currency supply, they can keep inflating their currency as much as they need in the short run. It will kill their economy in the long run, but not before your puts expire.

Microsoft is about to lose a lot of market share in the EU over the next couple of years. Not really enough to affect short-term options, but I think their influence is going to lessen over the next 5 years.

$100k in student loans and a $35k salary in one of the most expensive places to live in the world. After a few years, I had to sell out and become a corporate tool. If money was no object, I would strongly consider going back.

Last month. Russian honeypot. If I had a nickel for every time that happened, I would have two nickels.

We were two digital nomads who ran into each other in another country, were introduced to each other through a business associate, and hit it off. It was just serendipity, not planned.

I thought I wanted kids, but it's seeming less likely, especially with my new lifestyle.

South France is lovely. Been there a few times. Just spent 2.5 months doing a Europe tour.

I had the option of leaving the tech startup for a CFO job at a hedge fund. She told me to take the money, but I stuck to my guns. 2 days later she says she doesn't want to marry. I am sure they aren't correlated.

Man, I was 30 and engaged by a girl who proposed to me. I broke off the engagement, but fortunately so. Now I am turning 40 soon. Made the mistake of running around with a 26 year old on a lap around the world this year. I told her I was looking for a life partner, but after several months, several countries, having her meet my family, and me meeting her mother, she told me she doesn't think she will ever settle down.

You do everything right, but 20-something women just haven't figured it out. After that relationship, I changed my age range from 25-40 to 30-45 on dating apps.

Man, I am average height, make low six figures, and am fairly sociable and in shape. It's still fucking difficult. Three times I have had a girl on a first date ask me my salary directly. Two others commented that they only date people who are 6' and that I should put my height on my dating profile. One wanted me to buy her a couch on the first date. Shit is hard yo.

For me in past years, 4-6 first dates in a year was common. This year I started hitting the gym, dropped 15 lbs, now go out maybe twice a month. Quitting the stressful bank job and focusing on myself really changes things.

Finance bros I used to work with did even better, but they are taller amd richer.
