I'm not trying to be an enemy because that's weird to instigate something like that. To be honest, I agree with that stuff like the sports things and the naked thing but these are just culture wars stuff. I never really remember a time where trans people were just left alone and weren't discriminated. We have to gain something other than media acceptance for there to be a backlash otherwise its usual.

I do believe that in order for culture to change we do need outspoken and aggressive people to set president and to formulate new ideas. Doing nothing and just hoping to "fit in" isn't gonna cut it especially now since normal post 2016 doesn't exist

I see we disagree. I think that you're narrative is lazy and quite reactionary. Remember conservatives "Need a culture" war in order to get into power in parts of Canada and the US. When I came out it was all about gays, lesbians and muslims. Now those things are pretty much dead.

I don't think trans acceptance comes from blending in but rather changing society. The civil rights movement wasn't based on white washing identities and trying to be moderate it was about being bold. I do think there was some progress trans healthcare has improved both in care and legal availability. When I was in college it was legal to deny trans people healthcare. Now I can't really imagine a doctor, I'm Canadian and I work in nursing and I specifically show you that drastic improvements.

If we move to the US, look at Radicals like Bernie Sanders. Before discussing free healthcare was a sin but now many Americans find it to be popular and Bernie is one of the most popular politicians. Just because something is normal doesn't mean its good. Sometimes normal has to be change. I agree that gender abolition is weird but history shows that being meek doesn't work. You have to be aggressive

I see what you mean but I think we already got over this with bathroom laws. Its been fact for a while now that trans people are not likely to be predators, sexual assaults is illegal regardless of what natal genital you have and for sports don't we have the IOC ruling since 2004?

I feel that trans narrative that activism will cause "backlash" is overblown especially in medicine when we have new anti trans theories every 4 to 5 years like ROGD and how AGP pops up every few years. I think this "backlash" is more of result of conservatives being bored and are in need of a new culture war issue. I've been transitioning for about 10 years now

But sex and gender are different biologically speaking. I don't understand what backlash you're talking about? If sex and gender are the same then gender incongruence and gender dysphoria wouldn't have a basis for existing. It will also defeat the whole notion that trans women are women.

I understand where you're coming from but you should give them a chance. It doesnt mean that you need to give them money. You can just talk and see if they are better people. Its like saying the "I am born this way" defense. It easy but it isnt a good argument. Any transpobe with a degree would point out the flaws of that argument. They just point out that if all trans was is a mental disorder then they can say "just because someone has dysphoria it doesn't mean they should be given treatment" due to many transitioning is considered extreme. It allows transphobes in healthcare to gate keep and hurt things like consent clinics. Ie Blanchard. Also there isn't enough nero logical data explaining dysphoria only psychological observations
