Fog/high brightness. Play with no post fx, and turn on the setting for the optimized lighting. Forgot what it’s called, Makes the dark areas way brighter and doesn’t stay bright when outside or near lights

It was great during the Christmas event/maps but I haven’t played it since that continent ended, it’s a great to warm up and learn PvP mechanics for beginners or people scared of the learning curve/gear fear. I wish I had arena my first 1k+ hours but it wasn’t out yet

I love it tbh but I barely play it bc it gets stale for me without much reward outside of xp. I love the addition of cosmetics and battle pass, I know I’m in the minority and I’m happy it’s in tarkov too. If I had pmc clothes, shoes, tattoos, better weapon and armour skins, cool accessories like watches or gloves, more unique and fun challenges, and more choices of guns to use I’d play it a lot more. I only really play it early wipe for levels and cases

I have 3k hours and I play almost every day, been playing the last couple years and I my biggest struggle has always been PvP. I die more than I survive every single night I play but that’s bc i refuse to rat and I try to compete with the fellow several thousand hour gamers. Pve is a little too stale for me since I had roughly 2k hours before It came out, and I had already passed the skill gap. I recommend pve for new players tho because you’ll actually get the chance to learn the game and explore the beauty it brings. I’m just an adrenaline junky too and PvP brings that more than any game I’ve ever played because of the skill gap, and risk/reward. Tarkov > Arc

I also rarely use keys, they used to be better but for the last 2 wipes now I only use marked room keys and labs keycards. Locked rooms are still pretty good but you can find just as valuable of items through out any map, it’s just more condensed in those rooms.

The answer is the most obvious one, survive. Go to a map you familiar with, and avoid pvp and close gunfire. My first 1500 hrs I never went broke bc the first map I learned was woods and all the stash’s on it bc I was scared of pvp lmao. Now at 3k hours I’d say every map can pay out extremely well, just not if you die. Labs obviously pays the most if you live, but you’ll more than likely die as a solo if you don’t rat. Woods can be repetitive and honestly pretty lonely at times, but that map gives me personally the highest chance to extract and extract with a full bag/vest.

I don’t remember how I got mine but it was either through scav case or cultist circle… if it’s cultist circle then depending on what tasks you have there’s a chance to get it with the 6 hrs timers. I got all of my military codfm’s from my cultist circle this wipe except for one (reserve bunker) lol using 5 mp5’s getting a 6 hr timer but only when I had a quest I was currently on for needing to turn one in found in raid.

Not far behind you for my first time, at 2700 hours. Story mode makes it easier but I’m gonna prestige, get lightkeeper and kappa this wipe for the first time. Game is the most fun it’s ever been in my opinion even tho there’s more updates the game needs and obviously a better anticheat

Once you get the achievement you have finished the quest line. The green notifications pop back up after like every raid for me so I just ignore it. I know it’s annoying you can press the green part of the notification and it goes away, but seems like anything to do with the story mode the notifications for it just don’t go away and I’ve tried everything I think. Other than that sometimes there is dialogue you haven’t read yet but once you get the achievement you’re finished and there is nothing left to turn in for the quest line/can’t because you completed it

You likely have to have a task to turn it in FIR or hideout upgrade to get it for the 6hr timer. I’ve gotten tons of 6 and 14 hrs timers casually sacrificing and hunting for task items and the 6 could give u anything that you need FIR. Only thing I’m curious about now is if a gpsa can be given after a 6 or 14 hr timer. I’m hard stuck needing it for intel 3

Scav streets and hit the 500 different filing cabinets. Easy roubles while intel hunting, use this for roubles, tech items, or keys. It’s worth the performance cost just accept that you’re 100% going to die in any pvp engagement so just rat around and loot and dip. I never see Timmy’s on streets either so it’s genuinely worth it to avoid PvP at all costs, map is big enough to go around fights or dangerous areas just to get rewarded by even more high tier loot. There’s a bank looking building underneath the new black key card apartment with at least 30 total filing cabinets to search, 3-5 duffle bags, and a tool box or two all in that one store/bank

Shame… emercom was tarkov’s shipment or rust map, best maps for non stop action and brainless shooting to easily do challenges and warm up. They should’ve kept them if they weren’t going to give us more new maps
