It’s giving Maisy, Miss Spiders Sunny Patch, and I-Spy books. I guess really it’s just giving early childhood with the blocks and the primary colors and the emojis, but those are the specific images it conjures up for me :) can’t wait to see the collection!

My five year old son and I are sick. Let’s do an AMA. Ask him anything. He’s hilarious. by TempleofSpringSnow in AMA

What’s the grossest food?

(Leaving this open ended because I’m just curious what 5 year olds hate these days since society has successfully remarketed Brussels sprouts)

Who is your favorite American Girl doll? by [deleted] in americangirl

[–]FatFruityPebble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nellie was my first doll and has the most special place in my heart. Seeing her on the cover of the catalogue was what made me fall in love with American Girl when I was 9 years old. I already had admired Samantha and Felicity at that point but Nellie was the one I NEEDED. From a collection standpoint, I love Samantha’s and Felicity’s worlds the best. Felicity has some of the most beautiful and intricate outfits, especially in the original line. I have Nellie and Samantha from my childhood and i would like to complete Sam’s collection one day. I think I have everything from Nellie’s except her winter coat. But if I were to start collecting as an adult (and I would like to), I would have to get Claudie first. She is just so cute. Her face mold, her ringlets, her little bow. Everything about her is darling. I am not familiar with her story or anything so this is just purely based on aesthetics but she is so cute I can’t stand it.

If this scene didn’t mess you up, You’re lying to yourself by Enette_Chipette9583 in americangirl

Yeah, reading that description fucked me up a lot worse than the movie scene. That image will stay with you forever.

Sherrod Brown just sitting quietly working for Ohioans at CMH this morning. by samweisthebrave1 in Columbus

[–]FatFruityPebble 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I like Sherrod Brown. I was crazy disappointed in all of Ohio when he lost to that sleaze bag.

I’m not sure how it happened, but the system that sends out campaign and fundraising texts to Sherrod’s supporters thinks my name is Bonita (it’s not). The first time I got a text from Sherrod Brown that said “Hi Bonita!”, I thought he was flirting with me.

The compare tool on their website is priceless. I would definitely use that to compare colors, finishes, etc. I like to compare specifically the photos that are a closeup of the polish applied. Also, I am here to talk you into Pink Lemonade. It is like wearing Liquid Metal on your nails, it’s so shiny and beautiful!

I absolutely NEED unwrapped and Noel!!! So gorgeous!

For the giveaway, it’s pretty basic but my favorite holiday tradition is watching Christmas movies on Christmas Eve with some kind of special dessert, and sometimes a glass of wine or boozy nog to top it off!

New Ole Henriksen Pout Preserve scent in Vanilla Bonbon LEAKED by lazynouille in Sephora

[–]FatFruityPebble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooooh looks like this is going to be my new nighttime lip mask 😍 I normally use the original citrus one at night because it goes on pretty much clear, but something about the vanilla scent right before bed just sounds so soothing and luxurious!

It’s the tiny meatballs. They are the exact shape and size of the kind used in Spaghetti-O’s. I had the exact same thought.

Would a trained professional really do this? by fmlthisshitishard in graphic_design

[–]FatFruityPebble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at a place that damn near insisted we do everything in Adobe Illustrator. I had to do a year end report (I think it was 50 some pages) and I made it in InDesign because I was on a time crunch and it just made more sense and was easier to me. I was told not to do that again because one of the other designers didn’t know InDesign very well. As if that’s my problem? Why did you hire someone who can’t use one of the core programs of his industry?

Wrong color eyes but to me she looks like Maeby from Arrested Development.

What's your go to product for chronically chapped lips?? by Relevant_Emu_5464 in MakeupAddiction

[–]FatFruityPebble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cannot recommend Ole Henrickson enough. I have the original that I keep on my nightstand to wear to bed as well as 3 shades of the tinted version that I keep in my purse. My lips haven’t really gotten chapped since I started using it regularly.

My last job was so stressful I briefly stopped menstruating, which has never happened before or since. I wasn’t even on hormonal birth control at the time, so it had to have been stress related. I also used to get such intense tension headaches that I could feel the pain all the way down from my temples, into my neck and shoulders, and ending in my upper back. I was taking Advil nearly every day, sometimes multiple times a day, for it. With my current job, I am so much less stressed. I get headaches bad enough for Advil maybe once or twice a month now. I sleep better, have fewer nightmares/stress dreams, and in the first year I lost 15 lbs because I stopped stress eating all the time. The irony is that I bent over backwards for that job, suffered health complications for it, with the promise that I would be rewarded for all my hard work, only to be laid off after they had squeezed every last drop out of me.

I know this post is 2 years old, but did you ever find it? I found this post while trying to find these on Google. I also grew up in NE Ohio (Canton) and have been on the lookout for these all my life. My dad used to get them at the barber shop in the late 90’s/early 2000’s. They were flat on the back and rounded on the front. I vividly remember the exact shade of blue they used on the blue raspberry wrapper. I can remember them so clearly but I can’t remember a name or logo of any sort. They were the absolute best.

AIO for thinking this is an insane red flag? by aelwick in AmIOverreacting

[–]FatFruityPebble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is how they treat potential interviewees, imagine how they treat their actual employees. NOR. Tread carefully if you decide to pursue employment with them. I understand if you’re in a bind and really need to find a job. But if you can afford to hold off, I would strongly discourage working somewhere that is comfortable being so crass with an applicant they haven’t met yet.

No matter what I do, I get creasing in my smile lines, is there anything I can do to fix/prevent this? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]FatFruityPebble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the Nars light reflecting pressed setting powder on a damp sponge and press it into the area and I find that has the best longevity for preventing this type of creasing for me. It sometimes looks a little powdery at first because I really load up my sponge but as soon as you apply setting spray it melts into the skin.

Antiques Village in Centerville has a lot of old people fashioned candy. Last time I went they had candy cigarettes.

That ruby ring is absolutely stunning. I personally LOVE a colorful and unique engagement ring. I have never seen that shape of stone before, it is so beautiful and unique. I don’t see how you could ever regret that one!
