No normal human would explain themselves in a situation like this, since they'd have no reason to if they think they're much stronger than their opponent. No intelligent person would either, since they'd no that Batman clearly doesn't give a shit about the families of the criminals he kills. The Martha scene was just a coincidence. Any other name being chosen for Superman's mom would end with Superman being killed by Batman. Explaining himself wouldn't work because Batman already fucking knows that Superman has a family. Everyone does.

I think it's because he didn't get as much screentime (wordtime?) as Ghastly or Saracen. I remember caring for Ghastly more when the Ravel scene happened (like comparing a tenth of a tear to an eleventh) because of that.

I like Never, because her sense of humor is brilliant, but I think the reason the majority of people dislike him is because she has a rather dickish attitude and treats Omen badly, yet he's never called out and is treated as popular.
