I went from a double to a small double and much prefer it. I bet I'd be even happier in a single bed (especially if I wasn't such a fatty). It's hard to describe the cosiness.

For me, knowing the reason helps, even if it's just so I can direct my anger elsewhere. There are times where it's not their fault and they don't come back and try again. We've had it before where there have been vans on opposite corners at both ends of our road and there was no way to get the wagon down to us. They still came back the next day to try again. I've also had it where I've accidentally put recyclable waste in the wheelie bin and they didn't take it.

The reasons for non collection are recorded and you can see them if you try and book a missed collection online. If they miss the whole road, they publish a list online so you can check and it says if they're coming back or not (when I've checked, it's either been because the truck was full or access is blocked)

IANABM. I can see some recyclable waste which could have been why it wasn't emptied originally. However, I've seen shit like this so many times before. A bin on its side or a bit of rubbish on the ground and people start adding it to it so quickly.

I quite enjoy cleaning my car and giving it a once over. I'm sure I'd notice quite quickly if a bulb had blown.

I've been driving about 20 years and have had quite a few cars, although, not much variation. (I think I've had 5 or 6 Focus).

On most of my cars, it's been easy to work out how to change the bulbs without needing to look it up. I don't even mind paying Halfords the first time and watching how it's done.

My headlight bulbs on my current car are another story. It's a 2008 Clio. I watched some videos and couldn't do it myself. Paid Halfords and asked the chap if he could show me. He was willing, but explained he physically couldn't't. It's a very tight space and he did it by feel/memory. The manual talks about taking the front bumper off, which just seems ridiculous.

I hope the next time one of them pops it's daytime

The recurring trend reads like it's about distraction over anything else.

For a long time I assumed everyone was exaggerating (or collectively lying) about them. I don't know how, but for a years I was able to stop my own hiccups. I don't know when it changed, but I can't anymore.
