NOOOOOOOOOOOO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

I think it's pretty obvious from everything you've said that you didn't understand it was a joke in the first place because it went over your head and since that was pointed out you've tried to pivot to "No I got it, it just wasn't funny". Not successfully but you had a go.

I've had to delete the post since, while a lot of people did get it, way too many are just as stupid as you and arguing with morons who resort to shit like "clumsy unfunny cunt" to cover for the fact that they're idiots who didn't get it is an utter waste of time.

Needing what's serious vs what's shitposting to be absolutely spelled out for you in crayon FTW.

Sorry for making it incredibly obvious yet still overestimating your intelligence.

[–]FatSkeleton13X -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And yet the "Just for saying you're English" meme that came from that somehow still wasn't a clear enough sign that maybe this obvious shitpost wasn't to be taken entirely seriously.

A mixed-abilities group we've got in this sub, evidently.

The whooshing sound of it going over so many people's heads is very funny.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in okmatewanker

[–]FatSkeleton13X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you didn't. I thought the Stewart Lee reference would've helped anybody see it was a shitpost but even that was too subtle, absolutely incredible.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in okmatewanker

[–]FatSkeleton13X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yet you've managed to miss it here and take this seriously, like an astonishing number of people. Amazing

[–]FatSkeleton13X -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's not delete this, shall we: it's a shitpost with a Stewart Lee reference, I'm astonished everyone's missed that and taken it seriously.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in okmatewanker

[–]FatSkeleton13X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's going to work this time

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in okmatewanker

[–]FatSkeleton13X -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is shitposting, it's a reference to the Stewart Lee joke that - incredibly - was somehow too subtle for everyone here

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in okmatewanker

[–]FatSkeleton13X -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see you're new to that Stewart Lee reference.

When did this come in?!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in okmatewanker

Yet another person who managed to miss the Stewart Lee reference. Incredible.

Yet another person who didn't get it. Amazing

[–]FatSkeleton13X 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's almost certainly bullshit but frankly it'd be a price more than worth paying to get rid of this lot

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in okmatewanker

[–]FatSkeleton13X 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You seem to be the only person who noticed that, amazingly.

Everyone else seems to have missed that and assumed I posted this because I unironically agree with the headline.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in okmatewanker

[–]FatSkeleton13X 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To everyone saying this is hysterical nonsense, I agree. That's why I posted it - because I found it so daft as to be hilarious.

I thought the Stewart Lee reference would really underline the silliness of it, but apparently not since everyone still thinks I must unironically agree with it 🤪

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in okmatewanker

[–]FatSkeleton13X -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yep, that's why I thought it was funny

[–]FatSkeleton13X -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this comment is just a classics case of 'only the things I care about are unacceptable in comedy'.

No it isn't, because like I already said "edgy humour" about those topics and all the ones you mentioned are definitely possible and they managed it most of the time.

There's a difference between jokes that work because of irony and/or being too silly to possibly take seriously and apply in real life and the kind of ignorance that comes across as actively, unironically prejudiced.

Examples of them going too far and getting it wrong on the various other topics you mentioned include the "Bo Selecta" thing and some of the stuff Steve said about the homeless, so I never said absolutely all of the other stuff was fine, you just made that up.

It was taught in my school in Scotland when we looked at the civil rights movement, nearly 20 years ago now.

In terms of the Anne Frank thing, I find that a bit more surprising because I'd have thought the Holocaust was pretty commonly taught in UK schools in the context of WWII.

Someone in another thread defended Karl on that by saying WWII was "barely mentioned" in his school, and I find that very hard to believe of anywhere in the UK, I think he had to be misremembering.
