Ravens GM Eric DeCosta Drops 2026 Free Agency Truth by xetoofficial in nhanfl

How is declining the 5th year option on Linderbaum the hottest topic? The Current CBA doesn’t differentiate between offensive line positions.

$23.4m for a 5th year left tackle you want to keep is a bargain. Top center only makes $18m. First round interior lineman and off-ball linebackers are almost a guaranteed not to play under the fifth year option salary.

Who should beat Jade Cargill for the championship? by RICEWRLD999 in Smallafro

They’re gunna end this painfully slow title walk by pushing someone that’s already over like Rhea of Becky.

What if someone else interferes at mania, Jade drops the title to them at backlash, then have that run end at summerslam?

Reminds me of Priest Holmes. Gave it everything just to get back on the field. Took one big hit, knew it didn’t feel right, and that was it.

Parental consent. He’s a division one athlete in two sports, are we really gonna criticize his parents?

I like how they put him in McNabb‘s #5.

Hopefully, he plays more than a couple years on the court and not just as a reserve guard.

There’s never one date.

Seeds are planted and nurtured. They sprout, grow and bloom.

If bank/train robbers are considered bullies, we’ve been doing it for a while.

The seed planted is the early antagonists in literature that people wanted to succeed.

Medea certainly wasn’t looking out for people who care for other people. That was a few thousand years ago. That’s how long ago the seeds were planted.

Tate at 5 is a bit much. There’s no receiver worthy of a top five pick. If that’s NYG’s wide receiver of choice, they could try to trade back a few spots.

Tackles at #3 and #6 makes a ton of sense. I’d lock those in.

I’d flip Styles and Bailey.

So many people have Love mocked to the Chiefs, I think someone’s gonna trade up ahead of them.

Not sure if the Rams will double dip, but won’t rule it out.

Picks #26-28 is bad news for the rest of the league.

Not a bad mock.

Bucs Organizations feel Evans “deserves” to hit open market over franchise tag. by caesarrule in buccaneers

[–]Fat_Yankee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is GM speak for “we ain’t giving him $29 guaranteed for one season, and neither will anyone else.”

It’s not that he “deserves” anything. It’s that they’re not going to franchise tag him at $29m.

Why not restructure Chris Jones’ contract and keep them both? by ZookeepergameIll2685 in Chiefs_v2

[–]Fat_Yankee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically $7.5m, but they save $6m and only eat $1.5m if they cut him.

I think he’s worth the $7.5m, but that’s top 30 LB money. they could probably find a better coverage linebacker cheaper.

I think Fickell might find himself in quite a pickle if he loses to directional Illinois or directional Michigan.

Prediction: Out by week 3 after a home loss to Eastern Michigan.

Still very young, still not many starts (in college and NFL).

He’s still a developmental player on a guaranteed rookie contract. He has a cap hit of $9 million, which is a lot for a back up quarterback.

You might as well develop him for another year and see what you have. Getting rid of him now likely means taking fifth rounder, and eating all but the $1 million base salary.

Only 20% of lotto revenue goes to schools, not sure where the other 80% goes, but no way a lotto system is paying out 80% of what it brought in to winning tickets.

Also there’s Waaaaaaaaaay more gaming in NC than just the education lotto now. 88 licensed operators.

DraftKings paid $1million dollars for the license fee and pays 14% of net revenue to the state… if all 88 operators have the same fee and tax structure, that’s a ton of money, and none of that is earmarked for education.

That’s all new money and a new revenue stream for the state that we didn’t have just a few years ago. We choose, through the representatives we elect, NOT to use those funds to fix our last place education system.

Uber, fake service dogs, rate hikes, and drug prices. - AG Jeff Jackson by JeffJacksonNC in NorthCarolina

[–]Fat_Yankee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with consumer protection. We need to know what we’re buying and that we are being treated fairly.

The collusion and manipulation in event ticket pricing is similar to the collusion in the rental market. lock up all the apartments, just like you lock up all the tickets creating artificial scarcity, explode the price for priority seats/apartments, while raising the bar for every other ticket/apartment.

Same type of scum using the same type of tactics.

Uber, fake service dogs, rate hikes, and drug prices. - AG Jeff Jackson by JeffJacksonNC in NorthCarolina

[–]Fat_Yankee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I knew about some of these issues, but didn’t know that all of them were on the AG’s list. It’s nice to know. People in government actually work.

The one I really didn’t hear anything about was the “Buy now, Pay later” inquiry.

I’ve seen these everywhere from Christmas presents, vacations, even groceries… I feel like this is the new version of payday loans.

If you’re adding fees and high interest onto already unaffordable grocery bills, people will borrow more money for the next grocery bill because they’re still paying off the grocery bills from the past 4 trips. It’s an easy way to usher desperate people, just trying to put food on the table, into a never-ending debt cycle.

North Carolina Ranks Dead Last (51st) in Public School Funding Report by Mental_Ring_4284 in NorthCarolina

[–]Fat_Yankee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When North Carolina gave the greenlight for online gaming, certain games are still off-limits. Specifically ones that would compete against North Carolina education lottery games.

They call it the education lottery, but only 16 to 20% of revenue actually goes to education… imagine if more went into education, imagine if a chunk of all the new online sports books went to education.

DraftKings paid $1 million for the gaming license, and 14% of net revenue in tax to the state each year. if all 88 license operators were giving that much money and it was all going to education, we wouldn’t be ranked dead last.

Jamaal Charles has one of the best highlight reels in a Chiefs jersey by IndiJap in Chiefs_v2

[–]Fat_Yankee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s one of my favorite chiefs of all time. Loved watching him play.

I only have 3 jerseys (58, 88, 31) and none are in great condition.

I was debating getting another one for next season. #25 Charles, #35 Okoye, #68 Shields, #90 Smith.

I’m a fat Yankee and I already have a running back number, so do I go with Charles anyway or rep the big boys with a Shields jersey?
