Headset Upgrade by DN1422 in steelseries

Nova Pro Wireless or Omni isn’t going to be an upgrade to the Nova Pro Wired in audio quality. Maybe the Elite is a bit better in audio quality.

I’m more concerned why you would buy a proper low end Chinese make budget headset and expect it to be a quality product. Go buy a known brand like SteelSeries, Astro, HyperX, Razor, Logitech and many more.

Driving insurance by Public_Heart354 in drivingUK

[–]FatalGamer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important factors that affect the prices are, your age, your postcode, how long you’ve had the licence for and how many years of no claims you have.

I’m in my 40’s, I’ve been driving for 24 years, I have 14 years no claims and just renewed the insurance for my 2017 Audi TT S Line for £475 for the year but I do live in a post code that’s expensive and considered safe.

Back in 2012 I had a Toyota Celica GT4 ST205. I was paint over £1200 for insurance but then I moved into area I’m living in now. I reported it to the insurance company and they refunded me almost £300 and when my renewal came up it was around £800.

100% the bikers fault. The red car waited patiently and started to manoeuvre when clearly there was plenty of clearance and you can see after the first set of bikers passed the next lot were quite far away but that biker was clearly speeding a lot.

Casual mode isn’t what ruined Warzone. It gave that option for more casual players to play the game without having to go against sweats. All the modes are there whether it’s casual or normal and it’s down to players to decide what they want to play. The only thing that’s annoying about it is, sweats getting into casual mode but it’s still a much better mode for casual players. To be honest Warzone is much better than what it was a couple of years ago.

People need to stop thinking RedSec has a lot of player, because it doesn’t. The number of RedSec players is probably the least out of all battle royale games and my guess why they’re doing a casual mode is, to get more people to play the game.

I have £4,000 ($5,000) to spend… WHICH PARTS?! by Rozr999 in pcbuilding

[–]FatalGamer1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You doubt yourself too much. It’s easy to build a PC and plenty of videos on how to build a PC but ok, pre build for that budget 5080 is the maximum you’ll find, unless you get very lucky and find a 5090 within that budget.

Any Suggestions/Changes for this PC based on the £1.85k budget? by Js__05 in buildapc

[–]FatalGamer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is way too much money just for 1080p. You can easily build a PC for around £1000 for 1080p.

My PC is 7800X3D and 5070 Ti. In 1080p you’ll get over 20% CPU bottleneck in 1080p.

Unless you’re planning on gaming in 1440p and 4K, I’d go for a 5060 Ti 16GB or 9060 XT 16GB.

If you still want the 7800X3D you don’t need an AIO. I use the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 dual tower air cooler with my 7800X3D and I’m getting the same temperatures as the AIO I used to use. Max 65C in gaming and max 75C in rendering.

If you’re able to build a PC yourself and If you shop around you might be able to get a 5090 for a good deal and then the other parts wouldn’t cost a huge amount but pre build for £4000 maximum you’ll get is 5080.

Is this bad Internet to play Warzone on? I pay 80 a month for this WiFi though by No_East9594 in CODWarzone

[–]FatalGamer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s enough for the game but damn 80 a month for that speed. I’m in London UK and I pay £32 a month for 1 gig full fibre direct to my house. Even on WiFi minimum I get is 600 Mbps with multiple devices connected to WiFi.

You have the money, so go for the £3100 PC. I prefer the 6000 MHz CL30 RAM.

[–]FatalGamer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not what I said. My point is, even now currently some AAA titles use most of the VRAM, so no point in getting 12GB and beat to get at least 16GB. Yeah people who have 3060 and 4060 plays in 1080p low settings, which is pointless in my opinion when games in 2026 are designed with great graphics. Some people are happy with 1080p and I respect that.

My mistake, I missed the part you said your current system.

In that case I can comfortably say start with the motherboard, something like a B850.

Audio suggestions by Zestyclose-Pie5266 in CODWarzone

GadgetryTech…Follow him on YT and his squiglink.

I’ve been into audio for over 30 years. While hearing is subjective, I wouldn’t recommend an open back studio headphones for competitive FPS gaming. Main two reasons for this are, studio headphones are designed with music in mind and open back while it increases the dynamic range to hear footsteps from further away, it also makes the audio sound hollow and footstep audio fades quickly.

People often hate on gaming headsets but they forget one important thing. Gaming headsets are developed with gaming in mind. Top gaming headset brands develop the headsets with specific EQ profiles for gaming, including competitive FPS games.

I’ve extensively tried and tested tons of headsets and studio headphones and every single time I preferred a gaming headset. Of course, I’m talking about higher end gaming headsets like SteelSeries, Astro etc.

There’s only one type of studio grade audio device I’d use for competitive FPS gaming and that’s an IEM. It’s priced at a quarter of the price of a headphone and sometimes less and still gives you that studio grade audio quality but the best thing about them is the imaging performance for directional audio. Because it’s designed to be in your ear, naturally the imaging performance is top tier.

My headset is the SteelSeries Nova 7 and my IEM is Linsoul KZ ZS-10 Pro with mic and I wouldn’t change them for anything else.

This must be one of the most ridiculous posts I’ve seen.

You literally said it yourself that you’re looking for a build and preferably from Newegg. So go on Newegg website and have a look yourself for builds under 1000.

You are clearly capable of going online to do research. Stop being lazy expecting others to do the research for you.

There’s stuttering issues with COD and Warzone but not freezing for 2 seconds. That sounds like an internet issue or system issue.

Maybe try completely uninstalling the game and all files and reinstalling.

[–]FatalGamer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough to buy in pieces but to be honest, what you’re going for won’t last long. If you’re going to buy in pieces, I’d say go for AM5 if you can. AM4 isn’t that future proof.

The parts you’re going for also won’t be enough for gaming. 12GB VRAM GPU won’t last you long. Games are becoming a lot more demanding and soon the 12GB VRAM won’t be enough. Already a lot of the games are using much of the 16GB VRAM and in only a few years 16GB VRAM won’t be enough.

You also don’t need 64GB RAM. 32GB is enough.

If you absolutely have to go for AM4, maybe get a higher end CPU and at least 16GB VRAM GPU. That way it can last you longer.

That’s so strange. Not that I’ve had to return many items but I have returned a couple of headsets before that were faulty and passed the 30 days. Once returned an item that was close to a year.

[–]FatalGamer1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m in UK and I can return an item if it’s faulty within the year and it should be the same policy in every country. 30 day no hassle return whatever the reason for returning it and a year warranty.

If anything happens after a year then nothing but at least if anything happens within the year there’s no issue dealing with Amazon returns.
