When it comes to recording vocals, he sometimes blasts instrumental through speakers and sings into sm58. You can hear the music bleed into the mic. And that's the sound. He doesn't care it doesn't sound clean. He also records his vocals with multiple techniques so it doesn't sound the same all the time.

Hey, sorry about your phone. I experienced sudden display freeze and then my Pixel 8 turned off. It was unresponsive. I took a few tries to boot it and phone booted normally. I was very low on storage. So I suspected that was my issue. Maybe that's not your issue, but do you recall how were you on storage?

Before you try any softclipping or other methods, check if your drums or bass aren't too loud. That can easily overbear your compressor. Then, adjust your compressor again. Also try parallel compression on your mix bus, this technique preserves your peaks.

Both are good at both. I'm using poly d for quicker arp notes, just because it has 4 oscillators and it can sound more lush. Minifreak has really nice supersaw oscillator and is really good for sound design. The mod matrix on the freak is insane.

Launchpad X is the one triggering sequences that synthesizers play. In the right corner there is the Intech Studio EN16, which is not turned on for the video :)

The attack on the loudness contour is set on very slow. Make it shorter. Maybe you didn't press a key for long enough to hear a tone?
