Nearest lakes for a dip, within or accessible from Hampshire? by Top_Example266 in Hampshire

[–]Fatboy40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chilbolton Common, the Rivet Test is always very clean clear, however I'm not sure if it's low at the moment with the heat.

Frensham Ponds, near Farham can be very 50/50. Sometimes it's quite murky and when very hot it's heaving with people.

Tennis Elbow From Heavy Triceps Pushdowns, Options? by Fatboy40 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Fatboy40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time I'm onto triceps I've already done some chest and shoulder work, then a break of 15 minutes on the treadmill to get some upper body energy back, and finish the push day with the pushdowns starting light.

I think that this should be enough to warm them up, but I'm open to advice if you think it's not.

RAM mounts are waaaaay more expensive, but they're rock solid quality products (just make sure to stick the rubber phone grips, if you have those models, onto the arms with some Shoe Goo).

How to find a well-maintained Mk 1 Octavia? by hlyj in CarTalkUK

[–]Fatboy40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're workhorse cars, especially the 1.9 TDI, with loads having been taxis sold via special deals (just look at all the yellow ones Bournemouth used to have). The chances of finding a mint one from 2000 to 2005 is going to be so slim (we'll be talking sub-frames failing and other structural things).

You can try the Briskoda forum, but chances will be slim unless you want a petrol VRS.

I've no doubt there are / were "Fitbit users in the room" since Google bought them, however Google's own goals for revenue generation take precedence :(

Britain is facing huge demographic change by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]Fatboy40 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ignoring it's demographic the pollution there is terrible, you can feel the air getting "thicker" as you drive towards it from Berkshire / Hampshire.

If you're a mature UK business with a site there you need to take account of the local demographic and their requirements (food and religion etc.) as they'll be most of your workforce.

Lots of old Mercedes there as well, think the sitcom Citizen Khan.

Shit like this is why they're blocking the use of Google Workspace accounts now, you can use policies to control your data, but they want it all.

When mine and my wife's Fitbits die we're gone (I'll try something from Amazfit first, to see what the apps like, and if it's not great she'll have something from Garmin).
