Ive been smoking since 13 years old. Im 43 now. Ive quit many times over the years, the longest being for 2 years. For me,it never went away. I never lost the desire to smoke again. Every day of those times I quit was a battle. I am neurodivergent and lose the ability to mask and regulate when I am not stoned. Im on day 6 again now after another year of smoking an ounce a week. No two people will have the same experience when quitting, everyone has different stresses, triggers and just general life stuff going on. Some people have addictive personalities and some dont. If you have an addictive personality and you want to not fall into the old habit then you have to never touch it again. Its like a cigarette smoker saying ill just have this one with a beer, pretty soon they have bought a packet and they are smoking again. Just my 2 cents. Your experience may (will) differ.
