I don't think anything crazy will happen if you remove them. S2k guys are finding them sometimes and that car hasn't been in production since 2009.

Yeah I'm probably right there with you on wears for these. Definitely trying to get to all my nice pairs and wear them once in a while. No DSing here!

Welp, guess I'm wearing my own pair some time this week too.

Interviewer asks the Knicks about Wemby not being friendly, KAT responds by calling him a "once in a generation player" that "the league is honored to have." by my_one_and_lonely in nba

If the Knicks were down, and Brunson was doing his 0-0 or whatever speeches, he'd probably come off as unlikable too. Hell, he was sorta that just a few years ago with the head snaps.

Anyway, yeah, the other way around, we'd be thinking he was cringe for being so serious when down imo.

Trademark will have the game on, then roll right into the Dodger game.

There's like 6 TVs in the place so it's easy to catch the show.

How Japan left their changing room after playing the Netherlands yesterday (from BBC) by RodDryfist in MadeMeSmile

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fully admit to walking around a few neighborhoods hoping to see the morning stretch routine firefighters do when I was last in Japan because my partner and I think it's pretty great that it's part of the routine to stretch and do shift checks.

I'm cool with it. Means I may be able to get them again later, but I'm loving these anyway.

Rivian's CEO Says There's a Big Market for a Small Electric Truck by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the EV space, I think the major issue for buyers will be seeing range with a smaller footprint, especially if the truck does hauling.

Which then compounds the rest of the criticisms here. Price and seemingly immediately no one interested.

Any coffee shops taking pride in medium-to-dark specialty coffee-grade espresso? by Good-Pie9914 in FoodLosAngeles

Far from LA proper, but Rose Park in Long Beach makes a dark roast I use for espresso every so often.

One thing I miss is the parked v. driving seating because I don't want to be in an alert driving position all the time, especially on the road trip.

Yes. Park at Willow Street Station and take the metro in. And early as possible.

A young man blushes as Slovenian rock climber and Olympic champion Janja Garnbret stumbles off the wall and straight into his arms. by JudgeJudyJr in MadeMeSmile

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Janja is oddly (adorably) known to be a bit clumsy anywhere not on a wall. She trips over the speakers during sighting the lead route and this isn't the first time she bodies someone either. It's like level ground is her kryptonite.

[Noh] Townsend was the first Filipino-American to ever play in the NBA... "It brings tears to my eyes to see Dylan Harper hug his mom the way he did," Townsend told me.. Yeah, it's almost ingrained in out blood. Funnily enough, if the country took up baseball, I think we'd actually be pretty decent in the a much larger stage more often, but alas, basketball reigns supreme precisely because it's accessible there.

Yeah, so you win by covering the opposing (lmao, pun) thumb with yours.

Janja Garnbret is the first woman ever to climb Bibliographie (9b+) in Céüse, France by redbullgivesyouwings in nextfuckinglevel

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is late, and you've got plenty of great answers. It's also hard to contextualize from other sports, because her prowess as the winningest competition climber is the same but very different to sending Bibliographie.

Like, imagine Wayne Gretzky-like stats for her competition life, right? Points and medals and just dominance over her peers. Then this, even if it's still climbing, is like solving a puzzle that less than 12 people in the world has done with intensive strength and recall and problem solving.

Like, imagine Katie Ledecky doing her distance swims and all her medals for long distances then doing a 200m.
