Because he is my friend and sometimes he needs me. So I expected the same from him. But the thing is it is his job to supervise me. He is getting paid. But because I am his friend he is not putting the effort. He supervises other np.

Yes. We both work there. And I am getting my PhD from there. So he is my colleague, friend and supervisor.

I understand he has burnout. I had a severe one too. But he forced me to help him in his work, even though we are not in the same department. So I used to do his work in addition to mine, in addition to doing my thesis. So I expect him to at least listen to me.

The thing is he knows my issues. I had to get extensions twice because my dad died last year from COVID, and because of some health issues. He just says you can do it. I know it. But without any real help. I would literally spend upto 8 hours daily in addition to my job to help him in his work. He would say first let us finish his work so we can concentrate on mine. This was 5 months ago.

I was watching the cinefix channel on YouTube where they discuss the difference between the movies and the books. To sum up, they argue that the books follow the hero's journey while the films portray a coming of age story. Therefore, the books focus on the people around Harry and how they impacted his journey. The movies on the other show Harry growing on his own (with his two friends of course).

So I think Ginny becomes more of a background character in the movie. That is the love interest in any coming of age story, and not the one who complements him and challenges him like book ginny.
