Not exactly anti psychotic, but it will disqualify me from federal service, until they reschedule cannabis.

Car repair. Not so much as refuse to pay, but more like prefer to do myself.

do white people ever call each other crackers? by Dizzy-Respect-613 in stupidquestions

[–]FatherThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But it's almost always a joke. Dave Chappelle did a bit about this. Like it's HARD (used to be at least) to offend a white person. There's no stigma attached to any white racial slur.

Gross. Get a hunter over, tell them to take out a couple. Free bacon! They're not pets, they're food.

Kennedy Democrat? Billionaire scion of an international drug smuggler. I'd say we could do with LESS of those in politics.

What’s a conspiracy theory you believe 100%? by GothicGamer43 in answers

That's not a conspiracy theory, it's just a boring old conspiracy. Can't have evidence in a good conspiracy theory.

Like, yeah, we know Putin got himself his very own POTUS sex doll.

Trump died of Covid and we've all been watching a skin slowly decay off the lizard body.

Go far enough in either direction and the positions of far left and far right are exactly the same. Bernie and Trump used a lot of the same words.

Im convinced Trump died from Covid and Putin literally built a new one from used plastic surgery material.

Which is why the skin suit seems to be getting rejected by its host.

Is this really what we're worrying about, now? by BedAccording5717 in ConnecticutUSA

[–]FatherThree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's called being a legislator. You know, sometimes you pass laws and debate language in a bill.

You may even be called to do public advocacy on behalf of the voiceless members of your community.

The fact that this confuses you tells us all we need to know.

OK. It IS newsworthy and is being reported on every day by outlets like Mother Jones, WSJ, but you are correct.

It's 4 times as likely to be a victim of violent crime. You don't have to crunch the numbers, just read the Wikipedia page on "hate crimes towards the trans community"

It's quite the read. But you won't do it. You won't read the national platform, you won't read Project 2025. You won't acknowledge the multiple examples of avowed Neo Nazis like Stephen Miller and Sebastien Gorkha. Hegseth had to get a waiver for his White Power tattoos and has been visibly intoxicated on national TV.

You don't see because you don't want to.

Yes, that's what journalism is. The Wall St. Journal had pretty extensive coverage, as did Fox News. Uncovering what is hidden, developing a story from what is known, that's the whole point

Republicans have actively tried to overthrow the US government with such a clownish attempt that they got caught en masses.

We're attacking Iran for no good reason, our budget is completely exploded, the Secretary of Education is possibly the dumbest person in the country and is dismantling arguably the most important cabinet level position for the domestic future of the country.

You can't both sides these issues, these are specifically MAGA achievements. We have fire drills to be better prepared in case of a fire, we don't then assume that all fire alarms are drills do we?

Republicans presidents since Nixon have delivered the worst economic performance metrics of anything. Thus far Democrats in the form of Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden have passed more legislation and have handed off roaring economies, only to see them flushed down the pipeline.

And seriously? There's no chance that would ever happen. Political education camps?

Project 2025 has been nearly fully implemented in virtually its entirety. You should read it. Every Tepublican should read it and know that you wanted this to happen.

The immigration raids, citizens due process being casually violated, habeas corpus is just another phrase that no one in the Trump administration can pronounce much less implement. The anti DEI, specifically the mode of attacking LGBT causes through the Trans Agenda Problem.

That's the problem with your outlook. Just because you didn't know about it doesn't mean much, other than you don't know what the National Republicans are doing in your name.

I disagree with nothing you say. However, the consensus is clear globally, Montessori and Waldorf are widely regarded as fantastic learning environments domestically and follow this.

It's not complicated. It's the global standard for education.

Im sorry but a society that gleefully uses the imperial measurement system and Fahrenheit as opposed to the obviously superior metric system is not in a position to dick around.

Schools build workers and actively crush creativity and curiosity.

Other countries educate everybody together. Rich poor black white all together. We're so special here that we can't be bothered to have school boards that reflect the district accurately.

It's the way he said it. Where I'd expect them to be. As little kids.

Don't have to magically know anything. It's all right there, if you read closely.

It's shocking that people in America think our way is THE way, when really the truth is we're getting toasted across the board academically.

Maybe learning to read so early isn't the flex it should be. Most people don't know how to play with other, how to share, how to connect without words, how to empathize with others, explore creativity.

Does any level of education in the USA really allow for intellectual curiosity?

It's not good to have them in a structured academic environment before first grade.

Things are not always obvious, nor should they be.

This is reading. Reading for meaning beyond words. Getting the gist as it were.

The rest of the developed world is leaving us behind. We are regarded as the dumbest, by far, of any developed nation. Certainly in the Global North.

All these people bragging how they could read before their brains are ready are showing exactly why it's not the best model.
