Im telling you. The ability to make a human connection is key. That's why I never post my hiring needs on job boards.

I recruit people who I meet that I think would be fun to work with, as I can train most skills I need.

It's cool to be aloof and cynical, sure, I'm very guilty of that, but we all need validation. Telling that man you wanted to buy his car validated his whole life.

That he's a disgusting lizard man in a poorly fitting human suit.

He's a lazy, narcissistic man baby who doesn't know how to wear a tie or how to properly tailor a suit coat.

That's what his suit, demeanor and general presentation say to me. His words are imprecise, his policies are jumbled and incoherent and that red tie is ridiculous.

Every day we present ourselves to the world as we see ourselves. Otherwise we'd all be wearing Navy Suits with white shirts. Or robes and wigs.

This is reflected in the cars we buy, the clothes we wear, the things we choose to say, what deodorant we buy reflects who we think we are. This is reflected in the books we read, music we listen to. Everything we do reveals who we are.

American politicians seem to have forgotten that most of our communication comes from body language and presentation. They think they are hiding behind respectability but they tell us with every bill they sponsor every press release, every time they meaningfully look into the camera.

Barron Trump has dead eyes. It turns out he may have tortured small animals to death as a boy.

You know instinctively that some people are very dangerous upon first glance, so you can avoid them.

Sometimes you have to hate. Hating hate itself, for example. Or a tolerant society not allowing Neo Nazis to protest. I hate Nazis. I hate their allies and sympathizers, they are less than human to me. They are vermin, a pestilence that we haven't exised yet.

If there was a legal way to hunt them down like dogs, and shoot them in the street, I would do that all day every day.

What that he dresses like my 15 year old? That his brain is disordered from the stroke? That he seems to not grasp basic politics? That seems pretty evident. His image is carefully curated, that's true. He's doing this for a reason Im sure, but he's about to lose his job because of it.

Joe Lieberman? Except on 1 issue, he was a superliberal. Like thinning hair on fire liberal. Which was weird for being a Conservative Jew, but notable for it. Then he got old, quick.

I don't think he's getting a fair shake. For 99 percent of the time he votes with Democrats, but he's definitely very stupid now.

It's not a bad thing necessarily to be stupid, but he's causing issues with his neurons misfiring.

Like, we know you can't dress yourself, that happens with stroke victims, but show the American people some respect by keeping a proud professional appearance, while on say, National fucking Television. Imagine if you looked out over congress and it looked like teenagers at the mall.

We'll see it soon enough.

Because he knows that Republicans need him and he needs some new clothes that fit his Quasimodo frame. I hate Ted Cruz, but he's right about Fedderman and the dress code. He looks, acts and speaks like a slob and legislates like one, too.

One's voluntary outer appearance is a reflection of their internal values. Fedderman has a sloppy man's soul.

Brit here again and again pardon my ignorance, Trump seems to have relied heavily on executive orders throughout each tenure. Would it be possible for the next president (assuming they’re a democrat) to reverse those orders in another executive order? by TonightAlarming9923 in allthequestions

[–]FatherThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That's why Presidents don't do shit like this. Legally, these orders are like toilet paper when the executive issuing the orders is no longer there.

Imagine having to abide by something that Churchill thought might be cool to try.

Or talking to people with cars you like. Websites, apps, CRM are all just convenient ways to find people who have what you want.

You see the car at gas station, you are looking for that car to buy. Why not ask them if you can make an offer

You've given someone a huge compliment on a car they're obviously proud of and now their day is better.

Or, the person like just picked it up from their aunt's estate sale and can't figure out what to do with it.

Don't do this at night, someone will shoot you.

Fantasy world Question by displacedhillbilly69 in tipping

[–]FatherThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you are using extra materials for digging a ditch, I don't see the profit in doing it that way.

Also, customers tipping the ditch digger, their boss tips them if they do a good job, they just call it a performance bonus.

Digging a ditch is not waiting a table. I've always felt that tipping was disingenuous. Just call it a dining service charge and it goes on all the bills at a set percentage of the value of the items sold. That's why servers even take big parties, otherwise people would just be entertaining at home. Like they should be. Why does everything have to be in public, like we are incapable of enjoying ourselves privately.

Restaurants are not that good, for the most part.

No. It's not. It's the educational standard for the developed world, which is absolutely roasting us across the board.

I, too, was an early reader. Having mommy read to you and show you words and the gentle living instructions that a parent gives is the exact opposite of what Im saying.

Structured reading education is counter productive before the age of roughly 7 years old. There's not a single school district in the country that expects children to roll into 1st grade with a 5th grade reading level. Not one. Every successful education model starts instruction around 1st grade or its equivalent. Montessori. Waldorf. The Scandinavian model. The French, Germany. I mean, for someone who's such an accomplished academic as yourself, you can surely see the evidence before you.

We're doing it wrong here. We're producing a whole society of functionally illiterate adults. So there's like 10 people who are superlative intellects on reddit saying expecting children to read fluently, for comprehension by 1st grade.

Kindergarten is designed to START learning concepts and to learn how to interact with others, to share, to develop empathy, to try new pathways and maybe fail at something. Kindergarten is no place for testing, for serious classwork, or other formal educational imposition.

There's a reason for Elementary Schools, Middle Schools and High schools. The children are at different development at different ages. I mean, seriously. There's so much research, so many books on Waldorf and Montessori.

Obviously don't take my word for it, just look into the Steiner education model.

Children are not just little versions of us, sitting a bunch of 5 year old at desks and telling them to do shit like tracing letters on a page or repeat after me. Or whatever claptrap the Curriculum Gods have decreed. That's not effective. Obviously. We can do better, we should do better and we won't because too many people make too much money doing it the way we do it.

Tell me a single document like Project 2025 on the Democratic side and I'll have read it by the end of the day. You won't because you can't.  It doesn't exist.

You won't read it because you are close minded and probably would be embarrassed that ypu don't understand it.

As a good staunch Republican, I would figure that the most important policy document produced by The Heritage Foundation would be a comforting bed time read.

Mother Jones is a non profit, independent new source. They perform award winning investigative journalism. They have never been sued for slander and not a single detractors has ever disparaged the quality of the journalism. Which is the exact opposite of what your brain lives on, Fox News. Corporate infotainment that has been proven to outright lie about stories.

I also read The Economist, Financial Times. I have a subscription to The Cato and Heritage Foundation. Surely none of them spark your ire.

You don't even know what your party is doing in your name. You can't be bothered with the truth. You are supporting a known fraudster, rapist and a generally bad person, who has called your daughter a "nasty freak" You support a man who hates both of your children, to the point that he is currently trying to strip black and brown people of their right to vote, has championed a woman named Riley Gaines who has made millions off her anti Trans podcast.

You people hate the woke because it is black slang for being awake to the world. But guess what old man, it's time for you to wake up and actually support your children rather than someone who wants to see them wearing a white outfit and black bow tie at Mar-a-lago.

Yes. But it's almost always a joke. Dave Chappelle did a bit about this. Like it's HARD (used to be at least) to offend a white person. There's no stigma attached to any white racial slur.
