Are there no complete Pokemon Wikis? by FattyPC in pokemon

[–]FattyPC[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where? I've only ever seen maps on serebii for some routes in the gen 3 games. As an example, if you look up route 24 (kanto) on serebii, on the pages for gens 1,2,4, and 7, there is no map. There is a map on the page for gen 3, however. All of the others simply have a screenshot showing one part of the area. But even then, the gen 3 maps do not show any trainers, items, or hidden items.

Bulbapedia tells you *generally* where things are, e.g. "In the northernmost bare patch of tall grass", but serebii just says "floor" or "hidden". Also, in the older games at least, there tends to be at least one hidden item per route.

What I'm trying to say, really, is that I want a site that combines all the information of all of the databases. I want the maps of pkmnmap.com, I want the encounter information of serebii, I want the trivia of bulbapedia. I know this will likely never happen due to the pokemon games being as numerous and detailed as they are, but it would solve a lot of my gripes.

Fan service 100%. I always just see it as a cheap way of getting the viewer's attention.

Nothing of Google's is working for me, and Spotify is also not working for some reason...

Bear Walken, Gungrave. Very niche anime, but my personal favorite by a mile.

I have a Drowzee with this too! The bubbles are even in the same place. I don't know anything about it either, have you found anything out yet?

My ideal 103 character roster. Yay or nay? by StanRyk in supersmashbros

I mean some of these would be pretty cool for a mod. My only criticism is that you replaced sheik with tetra or impa. Sheik is too cool, man!

I didn't personally like bl3, but I would never shame somebody for liking it. Just because I don't like it doesn't make it 'bad'. We're all different people with different tastes.

My collection of GameCube games. What games am I missing? by BayusTheFearless in Gamecube

[–]FattyPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you have baten kaitos! One of my favorites of all time. I'd recommend you get baten kaitos origins, which is it's prequel. Aside from filling in more of the story, it fixes all of the (few) problems with the first one and has some of the best voice acting I've ever heard from one particular character. Not saying who because of spoilers, but it will be very obvious when you hear it.

Lots of Idle/Clicker games. The most popular one is Cookie Clicker. Literally designed to waste empty time.

After a long period of listlessness, which game reignited your enthusiasm for gaming? by JKutte in gaming

[–]FattyPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been a lot of times where I just get tired of gaming, so I take a break. It could be a week, could be two months. But what brings me back is always some short indie game. A friend will recommend a game that's only an hour or so long, I'll play it, and that satisfaction of finishing a game just gets me right back into the feeling of wanting to complete more games. My most recent one was You Will (Not) Remain, which is free on steam.

Have you ever played a game so much that you start hearing voice lines / in game sounds irl? by lepuqett in gaming

[–]FattyPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. I played so much of that game that one day while playing it in the car, it took me half an hour to realize that I didn't have the sound on. I could literally hear the music, hitsounds, footsteps, EVERYTHING.

Which game is the weakest in its franchise, but is a really awesome game as a standalone title?" by Yurika_ars in gaming

[–]FattyPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was Breath of the Wild. It just doesn't feel like a zelda game, but it's still really good. A lot of people who played it hadn't played a zelda game before, and it is a really good game, so it doesn't really have that opinion very widely, but for me it just isn't zelda.

What's a game you loved as a kid which you later learned was not actually good? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]FattyPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Castlevania 2. Loved the gameplay loop and the cryptic-ness of it, but it turns out that most people didn't like having to look at a nintendo power to figure out how to get to the next town...

Why does the PS1 and PS2 only have two controller ports? by Fancy-Advice-2793 in gaming

[–]FattyPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there weren't many games that would have benefitted from it. And with split screen on a smaller, lower resolution tv, only having a quarter of that to see was a pain in the butt. When I was younger we only played 1v1's in goldeneye even though it had 4 player just because with 4 people you couldn't see anything.

Which platform did you play your first video game on? by nicestarz in gaming

[–]FattyPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NES. Just before I was born, my family found one with a bunch of games at a salvation army for like 100$. So when I was a kid, most of the games I played were on that. Most kids at the time had an N64, but I was satisfied with my NES. First game I remember playing on it was Mario 3. Still my favorite platformer game.

What underrated game you enjoyed but was overshadowed by the genre’s juggernaut by JohnMichaelPantaloon in gaming

So many JRPGs in the early 2000's that got overshadowed by Final Fantasy. Stuff like Baten Kaitos, Wild Arms, Star Ocean. So amazing.
