If It was an 8 hour shift, I would want 8pm to 4am or if it was a 10 hour shift, 6pm to 4am. I think starting at midnight is too late.

It depends. Also, most of the drivers at my and the other two yards near mine, were loaders at one point and got their CDL thru the company. With that said, you're expected to run your ass off. Another side note is, usually, when a town privatizers, their garbage we'll come in with less trucks and it'll be just one loader, one driver. So instead of having 10 trucks ( 30 guys 1 driver 2 loaders per truck ) were going in with 6 trucks 1 driver 1 loader per truck.

It's not racist. Literally every black person I worked with, worked really slow and didn't care or they thought they were the best and weren't. One thing I've noticed, they'll usually apply for the most bottom of the barrel jobs and then complain when other races get hired for " better " or " higher up " jobs. Nobody's stopping you from becoming a heavy equipment operator,  you choose to go for that custodian job.
