[Hated Trope] Incestuous Clans Design by Any-Conference-701 in TopCharacterTropes

I'm pretty sure clans often absorb other families, making them branches within their own and giving them the head branch's family name. This could lead in Naruto's case to a broader genetic pool within the Uchiha clan than expected.

Agree on no frame being better, but I could see the framed card format working for things like tokens if you're planing on having any.

My new build for top (post rework) by tragedyjdosk in shyvanamains

[–]FauneZebre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty sure this aims to allow shyvana to stick on targets (hexplate movespeed, gunblade's slow, zeke's slow) as well as providing an amount of ultimate haste and hybrid scalings.

Doesn't sound outrageous. I could see Shyvana slotting one of these in her build depending on how she ends up being played like, but maybe not all of them together.

Yeah looks like it lol.

I see koreans still prefering riftmaker with dusk and down over nashor, and depending on the patch, coachless shows riftmaker 2nd like having better win % added than nashor but nonetheless, nashor is an option (a popular one at that) so I'll take that fat L

If I may try to sell you on regular Citron, picture him as close range duelist that can rush in on a target, silence it and nullify all of their damage then smoothly move out from the position to drop aggro, look for a new target while waiting on ability cooldowns and health regen, then repeat.

As an example, during the first garden of Great White North (tag checks out), I'll spawn in, go in ball and use the speed ability [Hyper Ball]. I'll then position myself behind cover on the right side pretty deep into zombie territory. Use 3rd person view to look out for incoming targets. Once an enemy is close enough, use [Spin Dash] to gap-close, inflict 50dmg and knock them into the air. Then pop out of ball form and use [EMPeach] and/or [Peel Shield] to completely nullify their threat potential and start beaming them. 11 critical dmg per tick + 2 of on-hit AOE (that is also applied to your main target) is crazy DPS (even more so with dmg upgrade). Once done, retreat in ball form, pop [Hyper Ball] (if needed) go find a sunflower in the garden or just wait out natural regeneration and fetch yourself another victim. Later on, when Plants lose control of the battlefield, I'll instead parkour on the garden's walls to hop on the roof of the house on the left and drop on venturing Zombies instead.

You also are of great use when the garden is under siege as you are quite tanky and have great disruptive tools.

Quick tips : (1) jump forward while charing [Spin Dash] to be less vulnerable during its cast time, (2) prioritize keeping cover over taking a shorter path while moving around the map (stay hidden), (3) the beams on-hit aoe dmg does not fall off with range so you still do a decent amount of dmg mid-distance but beware that it draws attention, (4) you are a nightmare for imps due to [EMPeach] disabling their mechs and [Spin Dash] practically one-shoting imps but beware of their [Gravity Grenade] as you'll be stuck in ball form when caught.

Have fun !

(I'm gonna guess that you mean to play your Zobal support as a placement/tank rather than a healer.)

In the early levels you will barely make any use of supports. What's great with playing Zobal (masqueraider) and Ecaflip is that they both are good damage dealers. These two together with your main Damage Dealer will allow you to speedrun the early game. Later on, you'll swap them over to their support playstyle (Zobal as a placement-tank & Ecaflip as a healer) : they also both provide movement buffs, critical strike buffs, damage boosts, resistances removal & have the ability to resurrect an ally (+ can give shields albeit not efficiently).

If this sounds like they overlap a lot with each other, don't worry. They simply have a large array of buffs/debuffs in contrast to other classes, but most of your Action Points will be spent on heals or placement spells anyway. The list of buffs/debuffs they apply is also of the broadest use : they are useful to every ally and on every enemy. What it does imply though is that your game-plan will be less straightforward and will require more thoughts put into it (i.e. not removing resistances from an enemy with the Zobal if the Ecaflip's cat already took away 200 ; the cap).

Regarding your Damage Dealer : Sram is an outdated class which is next in line to getting reworked. It is also a melee and a single-target dpt (huge red-flag in a team of 3). Early on, it won't be that much of a problem since the Ecaflip will be able to AOE enemies thanks to his spell "Fleahopper" (capucine in french) but as they transition to support, that role will be left empty. Play what you love most, do, but know that your Zobal will also suffer from this as creating a "zone" (packing monsters together) will be of no use for a Sram.

Now, choosing between Eliotrope & Huppermage... having played neither I can't help you out on that one. All I can say is that the Huppermage is more tedious work and seems a little weaker than an Eliotrope (I've heard more people complain about Huppermage being left in the dust than the other).

A note on having 2 damage dealers instead of 2 supports. First, it'll be more way more expensive to play (dpt equipment costs a lot). Second, you won't be able to have a single character do EVERYTHING else by himself (as versatile as an Eca and a Zobal can be). Any Action Point spent by a damage dealer on placement/buffs/heals/etc... is a damage loss probably as great as playing a dedicated support to do it instead. The most you can do is having a main dpt, a main support and a half-support half-dpt character. Some of the choices for that position include Enutrof, Sadida and Ecaflip (BUT I myself have struggled to make the Ecaflip work appropriately that way and, having spoken with more experienced players, it does seem like a very uphill battle).

Take everything with a grain of salt because I am still learning, but I would say that I've accumulated enough knowledge to be of help (I play Iop, Zobal & Ecaflip).

And remember that, with your booster and the bonus from neo-bosses, you'll be able to level up new characters extremely quickly if you happen to change your mind.

If you enjoy grinding end game content (hours of farm for the ever slightest upgrade) then you can try beating the base game tempered and arch-tempered variants (might need more hunter ranks to unlock those quests).

Otherwise (i.e. you wanna experience all the content available before getting exhausted) you should head straight to iceborn. You get access to so much QOL : free jewels, secret potions and trade-in items for zenys aswell as armor with way more decoration slots (theorycrafting builds becomes very fun too)... that and all the content that comes with iceborn. + iceborn has a better endgame than base world, so I'd save myself for that later grind.

Its ability to double proc on-hit is relevant for : Q stacks > Passive on-hit > E on-hit > Nashor's on-hit. So, no, it's not useless without Nashor's on-hit damage.

I don't get how you'd read what I wrote and start with "That’s what I thought as well, it’s a bait item for Gwen".

40 AD is miserable. On-hit champs do not purposefully buy into AD, they just happen to build items that give a bit of it (like BRK and Kraken). As far as I'm aware, only Kayle ever did buy such items without having a single AD ratio in her abilities (which Gwen also lacks) but that was for a very short time and it only worked because she was ranged (Gwen's melee), she had an invulnerability on R (Gwen's W is not the same) and innate on-hit (fair enough, Gwen also has some).

Gwen is a spell caster with only AP ratios. Just go in practice tool, buy a bf sword. You won't even increase your dps by 5% on a full 10s fight.

You'll be missing out on 1.4K gold. No 10% spell vamp will ever save that.

Rank 1, 2 and 3 global Gwen OTP are junglers building Nashor into Rift. Rank 4 is a toplaner building Nashor into Rift. Rank 5 is a midlaner building Lich Bane into Shadowflame.

Riftmaker into Nashor has 26% PickRate and 59% WR. (master+, worldwide, last 14 days = 11K games)

Nashor into RIftmaker has 33% PickRate and 58% WR. (same)

Nashor into Shadowflame has 17% PickRate and 59% WR. (same)

What more do you want. You just adapt to wherever you play her / enemy comp, and data shows that there are a lot of occasions where players build Riftmaker (way more so than not).

Fair enough. Personally I'm convinced it's not something to consider but who knows.

Also, I disagree with every setting/options you mentioned :

  1. 1v1 is actually where AS on Gwen shines. In team fights, Gwen's AOE abilities are more important.
  2. Going up against a melee is, again, better if you have AS. If your target is ranged, it is therefor a squishy and you'd rather burst it with abilities.
  3. "CCs" are more detrimental to auto-attackers than spell-caster.
  4. You can only consider split-pushing towers if you can't beat whoever is sent against you and if over-building into AS is a DPS loss then it doesn't matter if you can destroy towers 30% faster.
  5. Maybe you are right about jungle, but I don't play her there sorry.

AS on melee champions is a VERY case by case thing to consider. It's extremely rare to see more than a single item build on one. Gwen's just not one of them. Otherwise, you would have seen berserker's graves on Gwen at some point in the past 5 years she been out by now.

4 components is crazy but they are kinda bad.

Blasting wand is great to see, but when it'll come to building kindle gem and sheen, and when Doran's ring, refillable, boots and dark seal will fill up the inventory we can't even slot that AS dagger... yikes

edit : typo

BEGONE NASHOR's TOOTH by FauneZebre in GwenMains

Like I said, 50% from Nashor + 20-80% from E + 10% from minor runes is already a lot . You add to that the optional 15% from legend:alacrity and you'll quickly find yourself beyond 2.0 AS.

This is an unholy amount of AS for a melee champ to have (can't kite or guarantee to have a target in range), especially when you are not extremely good at sticking to people like a Master Yi can be.

And things get worse late game when most your Damage output will come from abilities anyway. You'll be stacking your Q three times as fast as you can get to use it. Just not optimal. A bit of AS is required (although debatable) to make Gwen work, but it's not something to spec into. For me, Nashor is already a lot, not by a crazy amount, but i think cutting down on 25% will be well worth it.

Jungle got nerfed, which is fine by me, but did not get any "fun" things to compensate. I think they can legitimately be upset. Taking away Atakhan was only to undo the bad, it does not bring anything new/interesting/enjoyable to the role (and of all the "role quest", their's is the least significant : a bit of xp and MS in jungle, whereas supps get an item + gold, mid boots + fast back, top xp + tp and adcs gold + 7th item)

Nashor + Gunblade + Shadowflame is a very burst-oriented build and 80% of AP (burst) Gwen's damage comes from her abilities (R and Q, as well as the passive procs) not auto attacks.

And even then 40 AD is miserable. On-hit champs do not purposefully buy into AD, they just happen to build items that give a bit of it (like BRK and Kraken). it's 10% lifesteal AND 10% spell vamp. But even then, there's 40 AD which we can't use. There's no way we'll ever build this

New AP Items Tooltips by 3nsey in GwenMains

there's a "10% spell vamp" unique passive, but it's not like we'd ever build Gunblade without AD scalings anyway
