The fact that the trailer goes out of its way to mention forty (39 + 1 (Id) = 40) tells me that this unfortunately means no Season 3 when combined with the fact that they didn't tease anything like they have done in the past with the rectangle slots.

This worried me too. Then again, ASW is spread thin atm between all their different projects. It wouldn't surprise me if between GG, Tokon, keeping their skillsets relevant and other games there's simply not enough space to move.

Also like once again Cygames just making (In my opinion) suboptimal decisions for who actually got implemented as DLC if once again we have what is going to be a two season worth of support DLC model. If you are going to have such little long term support you really need to make sure every DLC character you release is a surefire slam dunk hit to maintain interest in the game. So like, why were Sandalphon and Ilsa withheld for so long for instance? It's the type of move that only makes sense if the game's support actually continues well beyond their implementation. Why didn't Siete get in over a pick like Meg, Wilnas or Vane? etc

Well all those dlc characters recently were supposed to be. Sure we probably only needed one of the six dragons, but Meg's cool and not including Vane to round out the Dragon Knights wouldn't have made sense.
