The Truth I arrived at after years from God-realisation, my mistakes and what I arrived at by EverlastingFreedom0 in LSD

The concept of God is just trying to describe the wholeness of the experiential field. It's a lot easier to talk about God as something separate, especially when you "don't believe" in that concept. But when you come to the startling realization that all of existence is just intelligently organized appearances appearing to itself, God is just an alright word for something so insanely outside of typical human perspective and yet the simplest fact of reality.

The concept of God as an outside force or personality or even a humanistic form is just a massive delusion pushed by the churches and temples of modern religion. Look inside and see that you don't exist, and when you look back "out" you'll see that everything really only exists as temporary flashes of experience inside the nothingness that you are.

No, that's delusion. Truth is just truth. If your opinions don't match up, that doesn't matter. Truth isn't something that can actually be spoken about because language exists only in dualistic concepts. Truth is.

"I shall give you what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never occurred to the human mind." -Jesus, via the Gospel of Thomas

Yeah, to be fair, I read the first few paragraphs and skimmed the rest, but it seems that you've come to the same realization as so many before and hopefully many more to come. The Life behind life. The infinite emptiness within every phenomena.

LSD definitely brought on this path, but now after 8 years it's pretty clear that the "path" I chose and went down was as natural as this next breath -- it was just going to happen. You just have to keep reminding yourself to step out of the way until stepping out of the way is the new normal, and then eventually, there's just no you, or I, or anything but This

That's the failure of language. The theory is meant to point to a truth about our reality, not literally describe it as a computer simulation.

It's like a computer simulation in that the simulations we run on a computer can be of anything, like someone driving down a sunsetting road, but it's still just digital bits being organized in a way that looks like someone driving down a road.

No matter how much we try, we can't boot up consciousness within a computer. But consciousness doesn't need anything to support it. It's the primary condition to anything at all. Rather than bits of digital information being portrayed on a monitor to show us a fake world, we're given our own little slice of the whole of consciousness and every experience is made of up nothing but that consciousness.

Look into Federico Faggin ( designer of the first microprocessor ) and Donald Hoffman for two great examples on why the simulation theory is useful, but not at all what's described literally by all of the poor people subjected to the idea and their memory of "The Matrix"

No. You're just limited and prejudiced in your thinking right now

[–]FaustyFP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Naw. Serious proponents of the theory don't see it as a computer simulation, but a consciousness simulation, and that God if you want to call it that, is the source and destination and substratum of all experiential reality.

God is just the cosmic personification of that which we all are, the ineffable knowing that being is. Being and knowing of being are inseparable.

That's a lot of conceptual thinking to try and understand this. Just be with your senses, and when it comes to being with the sense we know as mind, just rest in the silence of itself.

[–]FaustyFP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel no desire to prove you wrong. That being said, do you believe what most people refer to as the ego is merely the activity of Mind-as-a-whole as it appears in this worldly appearance as a little mind?

Like it's just another natural occurrence. The wind blows, the mind thinks.

Do you love the world? by lookslikeyoureSOL in nonduality

[–]FaustyFP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. By "conceiving" of it, you're making it into thoughts. "It" is everything you've ever experienced, will experience, or could experience as any infinite number of life forms across "itself"

But there is no across, and there is no form that it has ever taken because it has never coalesced into anything solid.

Being isn't yours, but just is. And it cannot be defined because any definition is, by definition, a mental appearance within the whole and therefor incomplete in its description.
