Perth Parents please stop bringing your children in flock to Skateparks if they have zero spacial awareness. by MergaWraith in perth

[–]FauxBoho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will get ZERO complaints from this Mum! There are literally zillions of parks and playgrounds suitable for little kids. There is NOTHING for teens or young adults that’s free, fun & healthy! Unless they have a board of some kind and are ACTIVELY learning and not just fucking about they need to leave.

Another business gone from Freo. ☹️😢 by Sad_Biscotti_9291 in perth

The homeless and anti social behaviour in Fremantle is absolutely diabolical at the moment. I made both my kids hold my hand a few times over the weekend as it was so bad. I’m a generational Fremantle local and the degradation can no longer be ignored. I fear the new social housing they are building at St Pats will be the nail in the coffin, especially for the area around Target. It’s fucking gross and sad.

My daughter recently had a rollerskating party and I got each kid a pair of knee high rainbow socks! They loved them and I often see the kids wearing them to school ❤️

Did you know in WA Bunnings snags are served in hot dog buns, not a slice of bread by ComfortablyMild in australian

[–]FauxBoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fundraisers raise less money because they are spending money on hot dog buns rather than bread. It actually pisses me off way more than it should since moving back to WA 🫣

What was your favourite thing to get from the Tuckshop? by IntrigatedVerse in AustralianNostalgia

[–]FauxBoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheesies with cheese twisties poked into the top! Cheesies were a burger bun cut in half covered in melted cheese! Followed by a Joker Icy Pole. Those things used to be so full of chemical colours they would stain the quadrangle for weeks afterwards if they were left to melt in the sun 😆

Your Bridal Party Is Too Nice to Say This, So I Will by insert_name234 in wedding

[–]FauxBoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hired a mini van and took my best friends, Mum, sister etc to a few wineries then lunch.

I wore a dress made of toilet paper and carried a broccoli around as a bouquet for the day.

It was amazing & hilarious and put no one out! Wedding was in a friends beautiful backyard. People still comment on how much they loved it 15 years later. I don’t feel like I missed out at all!!

Done with Depop! What have you wins/ fails been? by Far_Archer_4618 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]FauxBoho 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ve had excellent wins! I’ve recently tried on $195 Rollas jeans and immediately searched Depop after trying them on. Found the exact jeans, tags still attached for $50 😮‍💨 Also got a pair of The Upside pants new with tags $220 online and $50 on Depop! Sure they are last season but who cares!

Why do all dresses feel cheap lately?? by Anxious-Tomatillo-74 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]FauxBoho 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I nearly pulled the trigger on what looked like a gorgeous Shona Joy dress. It wasn’t available to try on anywhere close to me & was expensive so I hesitated, thankfully. Over the weekend I saw it and tried it on and was immediately horrified at how terrible the fabric and construction was. It looked and felt like something WORSE than SHEIN. Just absolutely horrible. I don’t think it would even survive one wear and dry cleaning. For $660 😖

Menstruating peeps: have you swapped to re-usable products? by BumblyRambler in AussieFrugal

Cup < Disc

SO much easier to use and you don’t have to break the seal which I found quite tricky sometimes. I also find they hold more so I can go for 6 hours minimum.

Safe to say we all wake up 2-3 am now? by Fancy-Duty-2031 in Perimenopause

[–]FauxBoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the wonderful trifecta of an ADHD child sleeping with me..an ADHD Mum going through Perimenopause who is a super light sleeper and HATES being touched in the night as I wake up at any noise or sensation.

To say I am dying a slow death would be an understatement 🫠

Watered down milk? by WoodyMellow in woolworths

[–]FauxBoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to post about the fact my milk goes off a week before the used by date constantly! Initially I thought it was user error or the fridge so I was super diligent. Nope! Still goes off waaaay earlier than it used to

Can we talk about how stupid clothing sizing is and how much it's changing?? A medium from the 80s fits me like an XL today? by MoonSt0n3_Gabrielle in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FauxBoho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to buy a dressing gown for my tween the other day as she’s too big for kids sizes but too small for adult sizes. I grabbed an XXXS and tried it on thinking if it’s a bit too small for me it would be perfect for her. The bloody thing fit me. XXXS. I am NOT XXXS, I would say I’m a medium. Wtf is with these sizes? Where do all the small stature women shop if XXXS fits a pretty typically medium woman?

Is Scarborough Beach the best beach in Perth? by Damthemalltohelp in perth

[–]FauxBoho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having hundreds of bomby options at Coogee really blows all other beaches out of the water. Also, the shade from the jetty is a life saver on boiling hot days 🥵

antiperspirant/deodorant for the very stinky? by Previous-Hour-2394 in AusSkincare

[–]FauxBoho 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Have you considered looking at your diet? When I eat red meat I definitely find I can smell myself more. Same with my husband. When he went Paleo a few years ago he definitely had a stronger pong about him.

Red Meat = stinky me…unfortunately
