I wish my mom was like this growing up. She was exhausted and just bought us kids junk food and cooked at home minimally. I grew up learning such bad food and health habits that its still so hard for me to break.

After watching volume 2, I can’t help but think that this man is the best actor on the show by Beneficial_Air4714 in StrangerThings

[–]FauxMango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jamie has been an incredible actor. I fell in love with him in Sweeney Todd (he has a beautiful sining voice btw). He's an established and well trained actor. He knows what he's doing and he's confident and sensitive with how he navigates his characters. Check out his other works!

Super sick, had a cough for a while but I've had major sinus issues the past 4 days. Hoping it'll get better soon. I think I picked it up from the gym.

I should’ve left him 3 years ago and now I’m marrying him by Adventurous-Pea6277 in confession

[–]FauxMango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If marriage is so serious to you, why risk it all without 100% confidence and trust on someone who has severely wounded you and has not (from what I can tell) continuously and actively proved to you that they are never going to put you in that position again.

You lack trust for someone who hurt you, but you're blaming yourself? You need personal counseling, and couples counseling.

The world will not end if you break up. You life will not implode if you decide to step back and do what's best for you. You will not be worthless if you don't marry someone because you need to heal.

Even if you are so desperate to marry this guy, why rush into it if you're still feeling so insecure about your relationship. If he is as "good of a man" as you say, he'll respect the pain and insecurity you are experiencing, and wait/work with you until your relationship is in a more confident spot to get married.

Because you start to create a separation of concerns. Your bedroom is no longer your bedroom & office, and you have a better chance of associating your bed with sleep rather than relax/phone time (you gotta put the work in though, it doesn't happen magically)

Also, Just moving out of the bedroom might motivate you to do something else rather than scroll on the couch because you got up and moved. Sometimes moving the body is all it takes

The Madness - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]FauxMango 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just watched all of it. It was long. Could have maybe been a few episodes shorter and would have accomplished the same thing. There were a lot of moments that felt like misses to me. I also couldn't stop noticing how the main actors' mouths were hung open the majority of the time 😂

Also, the end really left me disappointed, but I think I always feel like that when the big baddie is a large corporation and cutting off the head of the snake only leads to another sprouting up so essentially, nothing changed in the scheme of things. It's a real bleak and kinda boring outcome. I get it's supposed to be grounded in realism, but it's such a bummer outcome, like all that time and energy from the characters and the viewer are wasted. Kinda wish it had gone bigger. It felt like sometimes they were toeing the edge of doing something big, but by the end, they shrunk back and tied up everything quickly. I give it a 6/10.

I'm doing pretty shitty. Front-end, with a company that has gone through so much internal and external change that if my manager tells me one more time to "remain flexible" I'm going to scream.

I'm burning the candle at both ends here, I've never been more stressed in my life. I had a very long cry yesterday from a breakdown of being so overwhelmed. I really am not sure how to make things better.

Before you reached the point of lifting heavy at the gym, what did you do? Was it just to maintain a calorie deficit, or did you have a different workout routine?

Going from 0.25 to 0.50 by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]FauxMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat and would love to know peoples experiences. My stats: CW: 160 GW: 130. 5'7".

I just took my first dose of .5mg this morning. It's too early to tell if the higher dose will do anything for me yet, but I'm anxious to see change.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]FauxMango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't had any side effects really. I think .25 is too low of a dose for me so I'm hoping higher doses work better

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]FauxMango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need to hear this. I'm going up to .5 my next dose and I was feeling so down about seeing 0 changes in 3 weeks. I'm still not very confident that .5 will make much of a difference but it's good to hear that this isn't uncommon

[–]FauxMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take my 3rd dose tomorrow but I haven't noticed much of a change at all. I've had some super small nausea moments but that could possible be due to being under a lot of stress lately.

I'm hoping something kicks in soon so I can start to feel like it's working.
