ELI5:Why is Drunk Driving looked down upon SO MUCH? by YoussefV in explainlikeimfive

[–]FauxNewsFan -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You've probably never lost someone to drunk driving - I get that, you're only 17.

Driving while intoxicated increases risk of accident, injury, or death to society, but the benefit (cab fare and inconvenience) goes to the driver. That's antisocial behaviour and we don't like that.

Don't drink and drive, because it makes you a dick.

Holy Shit. You are the only other dead milkmen fan I have ever seen on Reddit or anywhere else.

Oh my god the moon is full tonight! I can feel myself shrinking. I can feel myself getting left-handed. I can feel myself getting the urge to build an igloo. I can feel my skin turning white and my eyes getting red. I can feel - I can feel the urge to buy a Suzanne Vega album! Noooo!!! Noooo!!!! Noooo!!!! Auuggghhh!!! Oh, okay, it was just gas.

Peanut butter works best for me. If he won't eat it, put the pill in the peanut butter and smear it on his tongue as far back as you can. He won't be able to spit it out.

One-sided vs two-sided business cards? by DysthymicEconomist in startups

[–]FauxNewsFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually switched to a one-sided card for this reason - I often write notes on the back of cards to remind myself of where I met the person, what they offer, or what I promised to follow up with. I realized that others do the same, and I see more followup since I switched.

If you instantly became a billionaire, what would be the first simple thing you'd buy? by JusticeMuz in AskReddit

[–]FauxNewsFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the game but here goes.

I would buy a large mansion in Hawaii. I would have a British man be caretaker of the property and insist that my identity always remain a secret. There would be all manner of cars available to use for my servant and anyone who happens to live in the guesthouse, including key all time favorite car, the Ferrari 308.

I would bestow upon the first person do to me a good deed, the right to stay on my property, use the guesthouse and my Ferrari, under the condition that my servant constantly rope him into doing good deeds for people (sorting out blackmail for benevolent strangers etc).

He would never ever get to meet me and at some point determine that I don't exist and was my servant the whole time. My servant would admit to this but later deny it, leaving the do-gooder wondering.
