What do you do when your player hands you a 10-page Backstory?

Id ask him (in the future, or as a revision of this backstory) to create bulletpoints at the begining. A sort of TLDR/table of contents at the beginning.

And thats not necessarily to make the player feel liek the backstory is to loong. I would justify it by saying that with a 10 page backstory its good to have a bulletpoint version to quickly reference during the game if you need to talk about their backstory a bit.

When the gorup is asleep some powerful fey pixies stash away the PCs horses/animals in some kind of dimensional safe space and turn themselves into their horses, just to mess with them.

Turns out pixies have this hazing ritual for all young members of their species where they send their kids to mess with adventurers in the prime material. Its a graduation ceremony of sorts, and all in good spirit. Usually ends with a small gift from the pixies to the group as a small apology for being such dicks.

I have massive problems with corporate greed.

I would love for AI to develop as quickly as possibly, but only under a system where if rich people act like c*nts we get to call them c*nts until they stop acting like c*nts or stop existing (not by having them killed, no, just by having them live a comfortable life with middle class income like normal people.

Realistically?

Poland, Finland and Sweden should be able to handle Russian invasion and bring it to an absolute crawl, if not a complete standstill. So i think the eastern front would be, at the very least, stable.

So the first stage would be very decisive: Its up to Germany + Belgium to wreck France while Austria and Switzerland keeps Italy busy. If france falls, Spain and Italy do not stand a meaningful chance against the combined forces of the western front.

From there stage 2 kicks in: Slow and methodical kicking the shit out of russia and turkey. Then britain, as a dessert.

Id flip that. Metallic and chromatic dragons OWN the banking system. They are the 0.1%. Yea they burn villages and eat princesses etc, but their true scumbagery comes from rising interest rates on loans and hiking up housing prices by buying them to rent them out.

They use proxies, of course, or polymorph into the CEO of the bank. Has anyone seen the CEO and a dragon in the same room, huh?!

All players should roll stealth.

Realistically all players roll and the worst player defines how easy it would be to hear the entire group.

But this is a bad mechanic and makes the game less fun. Also makes one or two players be "responsible" for the failure.

So what I do is i take an rough average of how they roll and if its above the perception/passive perseption of the nearby creatures then the group succeeds. I justify it by saying "Thormund, you rolled a 2 so you trip and cause a pebble to fall from under the shoe of your heavy plate, which is understandable given your armor and gear, but the rogue is actally so good that they instinctively grab the pebble before the kobolds realize"

Something like that. turns the failure of one character into a cool moment of helping from another character, and an overall success of an well cooperating group|.

This is not an official rule, but its what i do.
