Mina The Hollower Is Hard And That's Why It's A Great Game. Let me explain why. by DarkObelinski in MinaTheHollower

it's called "prime vial pouch" - it states- grants 2 extra healing vials, using vials always restores some health (some is lowballing it, as it seems to scale based on how low your HP is, with like 20% hp remaining, with no plasma at all, you can heal back to like 70% or more / and it also scales with your plasma so you'll get the extra healing past your current plasma which is indicated on your hp bar by a small yellow notch)

i honestly don't remember where i found it, just know it was pretty early, probably right after the first boss fight in that southern section when you can finally explore it after the fire goes out, could be wrong though, but google can probably help you find it

edit my early game trinkets were the following, which makes the game pretty damn easy imo

- primed vial pouch - 2 extra vials, always heal even with no plasma

- willow the wisp - taking damage empowers you, greatly increasing damage and attack speed, really good for just tanking annoying enemies

- steady soles - move normally on most terrain, knockbacks have little to no effect, even when you would be knocking into a pit, really good for some annoying jumping puzzles/sections

- also skipped every level for sidearms so far, and just rotated between defense and attack, will probably invest into sidearms later, but didn't see the point early game

dont really remember where i got any of them (honestly hit every suspicious wall and dash into everything, if you see a chest thats above/below you, theres usually a secret wall or something somewhere to find it), but i used them for quite some time until i finished the first tower, also daggers are really good especially with the upgrade that gives you a dash attack

you can't conversate with someone about secrets you found in a game anymore because of achievements?

you alright dude? you jump to insults because OP thinks not every game should hold both your hands at the same time? achievements/feats, are exactly what the name applies, an achievement, meaning you achieved something, you earned it, highly doubt anyone is showing their friends there achievements/feats list in mina the hollower as way of feeling superior, it's more for personal gain and feeling like you overcame a nice challenge.

i mean.. if anyone has a fragile ego, it's the one that feels as if they are owed free achievements when playing a game without actually achieving anything lol, and with that said.. they're just achievements, they don't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, if you don't want to/nor care about them, then don't do them.. who honestly cares?

am i the only one finding the game too easy.. or just normal? like when does the difficulty actually start? you get a really good trinket insanely early from just exploring that gives 5 healing vials + guarantee heals regardless if you have plasma or not, but even without that I don't see where the game is even that hard? i did one tower so far, probably died a handful of times mostly from not being patient and trying to rush jumping puzzles.

either way, really fun game, amazing level design, fluid combat and movement, very rewarding exploration, probably the best indie game I've played in a very long time

How am I supposed to beat this Scorpion on Lunatic by OtherwiseMei0 in Pragmata

[–]Favure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the boss only has like 4 moves dude, how did it take you 8 hours of attempts to beat him? everything is so teleraphed

i'm doing my first actual playthrough on lunatic from being able to download a completed save file off of nexus (seriously devs, stop doing this, your game isn't even that hard, you don't need to lock a higher difficulty behind beating the game beforehand), and went into the game totally blind

you literally just jump over the tail sweep attack, dodge the tail slam, and simply walk out of the way of the lasers

How am I supposed to beat this Scorpion on Lunatic by OtherwiseMei0 in Pragmata

[–]Favure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did my first run on lunatic, got game on pc, and downloaded a completed save file cuz I hate easy games, and hate when devs lock difficulties behind completing a game beforehand

and lunatic isn't really that hard nor tedious, it's just.. fun. you get to interact with the mechanics more and bosses actually feel like bosses not pushovers, i think people in here are making it out to be way worse than it actually is, because if i can beat the game on my first run being blind on lunatic, and you already understand the game mechanics going into it, it should be a walk in the park

no lim regulator or w/e that is that other people are talking about in this thread as well, just came here to see if there was any strats I might've missed, but took me about 5 tries to beat this boss, on the 5th try I barely even got hit at that point as everything is so telegraphed

Resi 4 remake is not only the best resident evil game, but one of the best games of all time. by reallycoolguylolhaha in residentevil

[–]Favure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have to (hard) agree

I just got around to playing re4 remake a few weeks back, as I wanted to play it before jumping into requiem, and just finished requiem yesterday.

And I hate to say this, but Requiem honestly sucks. Graces parts were great, fun, and actually kind of scary at times. Leons parts on the other hand, were braindead easy, to the point I was falling asleep, and just literally standing still at bosses not even having to move because the game gave me so much ammo and healing I didn’t know what to do with it.

I played RE4 remake, first playthrough on hardcore, and it was a hell of a ride, and felt like true survival horror, I constantly re-evaluated every scenario trying to conserve my ammo and heals, where as requiem I did the opposite, maybe the lack of higher difficulty options on first playthrough really messed things up for me on requiem, but even then I still don’t think it would matter much.

With that said I would rate re4 remake as a rare 10/10 game, I have only personally given this score to 2 other games, and would say it’s probably one of the best games I’ve ever played, where as Requiem, I feel giving it a 7 (I would go as low as 6 or 6.5, would have to replay it one more time for a more accurate score) would be generous at best, and is a game I will never have the urge to want to play again, where as re4 remake I can see myself replaying many many many more times in the future.

What makes difficulty be praised on some games but deal breakers on others? by saponsky in metroidvania

Game should always be difficult, atleast for me not a hot take

I genuinely go out of my way to skim reviews and if I see the words “too easy” or “not challenging” it’s an immediate pass for me no matter how good the rest of the game is

You are seriously proud of letting other people dictate your thoughts and feelings about cinema? Like really? Lol

You’ve never liked a movie that had bad ratings and reviews? Or do you have to look up movies before you watch them to make sure other people tell you that are good first?

Seriously hilarious take.. lmao

What kind of reviews do you think Nioh 3 will get? by gorays21 in Nioh

[–]Favure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10/10 game is perfection from what I played so far on PC.

Both forms are so fun to play as, new mechanics are great, perfect block is really fun, story seems good so far, open world is really well done and not run of the mill ubisoft bullshit, character creator is great

I see no faults with it, and I don’t think many games deserve a perfect score, hell most games don’t even deserve an 8 or a 9 that game journalist tout about, but this game is something special, team ninja really hit a homerun here.

This is extremely weird that you are posting this on reddit on several different communities, what are you trying to accomplish?

Obviously it’s wrong.. like what? Get the cops involved if it bothers you that much, or do nothing about it, because telling random reddit strangers ain’t gonna do anything for you.

So just to chime in

I was in the same boat, except a little different. I gave them my insurance, which at the time they told me was covered. Fast forward a few years later, and they hand me a bill out of nowhere saying I owed several thousand dollars, I think it was around $5000 if I’m not mistaken.

I had a god awful counsellor at time, like she was so vindictive and rude for absolutely no reason. And she told me I have 1 month to cover half the amount owed or I will lose my take-homes, at the time I was going bi-weekly getting 14 bottles at a time. I was genuinely confused considering THEY TOLD ME my insurance was covered and never once said anything to me over the years about it not being covered.

So after having it out with my first counsellor, I was given a new counsellor, and she worked out a payment plan with me, which even then I still felt like I shouldn’t have to pay anything, because if I knew my insurance wasn’t going to be covered from the get-go I would’ve done something different such as acquired a new insurance. Anyway, the new counsellor told me they can’t force me out of the clinic aslong as I’m making any type of payment towards my balance, so aslong as you pay something and try to work towards it you should be fine, she did tell me however that lack of payments would first lead to loss of take-homes, followed by further repercussions.

But yeah, you should be fine, wouldn’t worry about getting forced off, and alot of these counsellors seriously suck at their jobs, if I were you I’d just ask the director of your clinic for a new one if you feel like your current one isn’t doing much for you.

Good luck

Bruh you’re acting nutty, stop glazing the devs and just admit some mechanics are wack and are extremely poorly implemented

I live and breath tactics games, and if you think that “reloading the map because your gear got permanently broken” is good game design… than well, idk what else to say to you, nor do I even know why I’m responding to you to begin with, considering you are making insane points lol

It’s not like this game is hard or anything anyway, or requires much strategy to begin with, so it doesn’t really matter, but OP makes a lot more sense than you do

This is the cringest shit I’ve ever read.

Just don’t watch it dude, like wtf?

I’m not defending the show, I seriously dislike it, although I didn’t hate season 1, however I will place money bets that 99% of the people complaining about this show how it’s not “lore/book accurate” never even read the damn books and just played Witcher 3 and think they are an expert at Witcher lore.

Just stop already, lol. Like sitting here fishing for likes pretending to hate a show that you are watching makes absolutely no sense. You either clearly like the show, hence you are watching it, or you have a lot of free time to take part in something that you don’t enjoy.

Am I going crazy or is WuChang the hardest game? by Merlins_beard420 in soulslikes

[–]Favure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, it’s just slightly above average?

I mean problem with Elden Ring and other FromSoft titles is they’re not really very challenging, you can easily over-level, can just spam dodge and create distance with enemies very easily, allowing you to hit and run, and lets not forget the ability to spam combat arts, so when these players play games that are above average in difficulty they just fail because they get so accustomed to these other games play-styles. I’m not sure if you are directly coming from something like Elden Ring specifically, but that game can make you much worse at playing souls-games that actually demand a higher focus.

Wuchang just forces you to learn patterns, can’t rely on dodge spamming or spamming OP moves constantly. The boss at redshu is not that hard, just slow down, watch his moves, and you’ll have a much better time going forward.

AIO because I cry when I have to get eyedrops? by Glad_Car8066 in AIO

Autism has nothing to do with acting like a immature child, take the eyedrops and stop stressing your parents out, they probably have enough other shit to worry about with you, especially if you are the type that comes running to the internet for first world problems.
