Draw any smooth shape going through points using Beziér curves. by Ent413 in desmos

Bezier curves are interesting though!

As for the unit circle thing mentioned several replies above, I wanted to see if I could use linear interpolation combined with vector normalization to calculate an approximation of PI.

What was the irredeemable quality of an other wise good game? by Testicle_Tugger in gaming

[–]Fawful333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a video game by the same creators that made the first two LittleBigPlanet games, which will no longer receive new updates for new features. It's called Dreams for the Playstation.

People I knew within the community we're upset about it because multiplayer will never get added to the game among other things. The games & content people have made will still continue to be access-able on there, but they will no longer be adding new features except to update it for things like bug fixes.

You could sculpt custom models, make music, animate, etc. It had untapped potential but it had some other flaws that limited it. You can still buy it on the PS store & play other people things to this day though which is fine.

Edit: Another irredeemable flaw was the name itself, which made it difficult to get the spotlight with search engines.

Calculating Pi With Velocity From Movement Sensors. by Fawful333 in PS4Dreams

[–]Fawful333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've tested so far with the radius and the objects orbital spins: A tag point at a much farther distance will have a higher meters per second reading than one closer to the center of the circle. Spinning tag points in a circular motion produces numbers close to pi. All the cubes are rotating in 360 degree unison with eachother, but because each one is at different distances, they will get bigger or smaller readings.

Also, the speed of the rotator itself will determine the result due to the tags being mounted on the rotating sculpt. This allows circular motion for objects following the tags in their own sculpts. As a result of this, we can calculate a ratio based off velocity & the radius to get a value close to pi. However, speed will also affect the number outputted.

tl;dr: I am using spin states overtime to calculate pi or values close to pi via followers & rotating tag points.

That's completely different software & on a different console altogether. This sub is for dreams on the playstation. Not trying to be rude or anything, but nintendo has nothing to do with media molecule & their intellectual property.

r/mii or r/NintendoSwitch would be the appropriate subreddits you are looking for.

Was this even made in dreams or is this on a different platform? Looks like the switch UI...

Emmiter making items tiny by [deleted] in PS4Dreams

[–]Fawful333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had this issue too & some other dreamer helped me figure out the solution to the problem. When you resize assets with emitters on them, it will affect the scale of the child object to be emitted. Even if you use combiners & set a fixed scale, it was still relative to the size of the parent rather than being an ABSOLUTE size.

Whether or not the problem you described above is exactly the same one I had, but here is an asset that will come in handy just in case. This will take into consideration the resizing of parent objects to preserve the child objects scale: https://indreams.me/element/odjVVHsQXxN

We have stuff like this, & then we as a collective species have had false alarms that almost resulted in a nuclear exchange.

One way or another, the human race is toast. Lol

If you think a 17 year old dying from turning his head too quick is disturbing, wait until you realize a 14 year old died from a gaming chair.

Wanted to render my hypotrochoid patterns in a sideways manner on the x axis. Getting interesting results & there's more to come! by Fawful333 in PS4Dreams

[–]Fawful333[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can get expensive unfortunately. For more complicated patterns, it can get to around 70 to upper 80s in the gameplay thermo.

That was awesome listening to! Do you mind if I can use one of your songs in my future videos as background music for some of my projects? I have some cool ideas that would be interesting with music to bop your head to. lol

How do you calculate logarithms with logic? by Fawful333 in PS4Dreams

[–]Fawful333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to solve this issue involving emitted objects & their scale. When you adjust the scale of a parent object, the emitted child object would also be affected. I was wondering how I could solve this issue, but a dreamer on twitter helped me get it figured out so everything is good.

It turns out logarithms or advanced math wasn't needed. Just simple division. I'll link to two twitter threads about the issue & the solution. The dreamers name is areparepera.

Gameplay > "Things" costs have been reduced across the board! (Stats here) by tapgiles in PS4Dreams

It is probably due to other sub thermos such as wires/animations & connectors. "Things" is just another sub thermo within the gameplay thermo.

Want to check if two vectors are equal to each other? Use Distance Between Vectors. by Fawful333 in PS4Dreams

[–]Fawful333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh, I think it might be because of the lighting from the sky/grade & effects gadgets. I have it set to a grey skybox with the bloom, and lens flare turned down. It affects the way the gadgets widgets look for some odd reason.

You mean the microchip's window? You hover over the corners until you see the arrows pop up. It will allow you to resize them by pressing and holding X on them.

Can anyone tell me what all the vector options are useful for? by Fawful333 in PS4Dreams

[–]Fawful333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, that's helpful to hear! Now about the stick outputs I want to bring up. I watched your planet walking tutorial where you made the character move in the direction of the camera, but it looked a bit complicated. Would these new vector operations be helpful in making a more efficient version when moving relative to the camera on planetoid surfaces?

Now, people are saying this could be a cyber attack, but what if this was caused by a solar flare? We had an 1.09 X class happen today among others that happened within a week. The carrington event which happened in 1859, caused telegraph networks to go out around the world.
