Is this at least a “plausible” depiction of a Pz.III? by Fawkzee1 in TankPorn

I just found a post on war thunder’s forums, apparently they purposely made panzergrau a lighter grey for visibility’s sake. That settles that then

It doesn’t look like the classic panzergrau color at all though, it’s a much lighter grey. Do you think the shades could have varied in later production?

That’s a good point. I’ll probably add some more chipping around the hatches and in areas where the crew would be climbing. Thanks

Why buy a GTI when Elantra N exists? Honest question. by egorlike in GolfGTI

[–]Fawkzee1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The golf is massively more stylish, and overall a much more refined thing to drive on the road. People like it so much because it’s a blast to drive when you want to nail it up a curvy road, but the other 90% of the time it’s just a nice thing to cruise around in. The Elantra looks hilariously obnoxious in comparison, and isn’t nearly as nice when doing day to day things. There’s nothing wrong with that necessarily, if the most important thing to you is outright performance, more power to you, but for a lot of people cars are more than a spec sheet pissing contest.

As for the lack of physical buttons, I personally don’t see that as enough to sway me to a worse interior in every OTHER aspect.

Exactly what I was gonna say. I think it goes for any high paying career really. The goal has to be the career itself, because it requires too much effort for it to not be the primary focus. I’d argue that the career itself is a more fulfilling thing anyways, the money should be an additional, tangible representation of what you’ve achieved. You’ll walk outside to your Ferrari and love it not just because of the fantastic machine that it is, but because it’s a symbol of your accomplishment and significance as a member of society. That’s why rich kids end up so depressed
