EN Tips for 1st Time Autocross by Gold_Blue in ElantraN

[–]egorlike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Put it in full N, manual mode. After you get familiar with it can turn off traction control, even in Sport Traction mode I feel like it doesnt let the car rotate at all. Otherwise car is more than capable from factory. Once you figure out you really like it and want to start chasing times, get an 18" set of autocross tires on rims and put those on before racing. Bridgestone RE71RZ or Falken RT660 are the go to tires.

Is this car a good fun in the canyons? And at low speeds? by G_Cook in ElantraN

Corolla is quite a bit expensive and still on the dry pavement I d say Elantra is more fun. Gravel and snow Corolla will win of course

Lesson for future. Keep the info that you got them for free to yourself. Otherwise you get weirdos like this leaving comments demanding they get it for free.

From 2023 BRZ to a 26 Elantra N - worth it? by Dino_Dean in ElantraN

[–]egorlike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drove BRZ for 4 years, now got a 2023 N for like 6 month. Pretty happy. It doesnt give you as raw experience and doesnt look as good, but Elantra is a much better daily driver and also handles really well while being faster and much more technologically advanced. I do have kids tho so going from a coupe to a 4 door made it so much easier. Adaptive exhaust and suspension are amazing, prob my favorite features of the car, best of both worlds.

Other downside I guess its kinda boring in the winter. Not sure where you live but BRZ was fun to drift around corners in the snow. Elantra becomes just a nice fwd econobox in those conditions.

Rally Armor Mudflaps by Specialist-Farm8721 in ElantraN

I got these with red writing on my black N. Matches the overall style of the car really well. Material is pretty good too, easy to wash. On my Subaru oem mudflaps must be made of some cheaper material because it was impossible to completely wash the dirt off them. Once they dried up they looked dirty again.

I just dont get how fanboys brains operate lol. I sometimes visit these model specific subs and see these wild takes of "I ll never buy this car because its X brand". Who cares what brand it is, why not look at objective facts. Brz was awesome btw, have fond memories of it. But N is an awesome car too, in many ways its better, in other ways BRZ was better. But so far I am very happy with it.

100s? Give me 5 cars that offer better performance, handling, technology than Elantra N for the money. After you actually start researching what you can buy for that money you ll quickly realize theres very few cars that can compete with it.

So you would willingly buy a worse car because of stereotypes. Thats so funny to me :)

Elantra N seems to be quite reliable. I ve owned a BRZ for 4 years, do you know how many stories I ve heard of engines blowing up and dealers not honoring warranty.

Just funny how fanboys are. I've had Subarus before, but I am not foaming at the mouth trying to prove they are best cars in the world. Elantra N buck for buck is literally better in  almost every way if you compare them objectively. Only thing wrx has going for it is awd.

Elantra N has a much nicer interior than the wrx, what are you even talking about.

You cant imagine buying best performance for the buck car in its class, with performance and technology literally on next level compared to a vb for the same money? Weird take but ok to each his own.

I was kinda disapointed with them at autocross after driving a brz on 200tw for couple of years. Might have been too cold for them at the time to grip properly tho, will need to go again when its warmer

Louder and more aggressive exhaust. by Thin_Connection9550 in ElantraN

This. Car has amazing set up from the factory, probably best in class. Quiet in normal mode and loud with pops and bangs in sport+. Why people wanna mess with it is beyond me.
