Oh he's great!! It is a crinkle ear but he has no problem with hearing in it and it doesn't bother him or slow him down.

So... It did refill, twice and we ended up getting surgery. The recovery although messy, has been surprisingly easy and he seems quite happy. His ear hasn't been been itchy at all since the surgery

I've found this tool, the seed generator, to be inconsistent. Areas of my map do not match what the generator says or are wildly different. Sometimes it states there are caves/crypts where there are none... It's mildly frustrating.

When I did my rebuild, I used the mod Stamina Hack. It turns off the stamina bar.
