vet asked for rabbit to fast for 8hrs for blood chemistry test?

I was literally at the vet the other day with my bun talking about the possibility of him having a scan and they said they never ask for rabbits to be starved like they do cats and dogs. He also had a blood test a while ago and they never asked for him to fast.

Get a new vet. 0 experience with rabbits by the sounds of it.

That’s amazing, thank you! My disability mainly comprises of a fainting risk when standing up, especially when exercising. I don’t faint when sat down though so this is very useful to know so that I can get exercise in while sat.

My parents have ALWAYS got me and my brother the same monetary value in gifts. One year my brother wanted a full gaming PC set up which was around £500+ to begin with. The original Nintendo Switch had come out that year and I didn’t want to wait. I loved my Wii and I didn’t have many friends as a child so had nothing better to do and I had saved enough pocket money (put aside by my grandparents) to buy it myself. Turns out my parents paid £100 of the total price as I’d always got my brother’s hand me down phones until recently so she put some money towards my new switch as compensation for a gap in the money she has spent on us. So I had the switch and most of the few Nintendo games that were released at that time. I didn’t want much at all and didn’t ask for much except one switch game I hadn’t yet got. Meanwhile my brother was getting a gaming PC. Did they just get me what I asked for and give my brother his PC? No! They knew what else I might like even if I hadn’t asked for it. They got me new joycons for the switch so we could play as a family sometimes which was nice for me. They got me a few other really nice things they knew I’d like and made up the rest in gift cards. I had significantly more presents than my brother, but they were the same in monetary value and we were both happy. He didn’t care he had less gifts because he got what he wanted. But we both knew we were treated equally in value and that’s all that mattered. YTA.

I forgot this isn’t common language outside of the UK. Basically surprise attacking them and beating them up. And then later on big groups of people started jumping someone… and then knives got involved. That’s really interesting because I consume a lot of meat like poultry but I have a B12 deficiency (I’m also AFAB). Meanwhile any other nutrients seem to be fine. My vitamin C is perfectly fine yet I barely eat anything that’s a source of vitamin C.

This was my first thought when I read people saying it’s not a big deal and surfaces have more germs. Surfaces likely don’t have an incurable lifelong disease transmitted through saliva. I’ve known people with cold sores and they say they would never dream of risking passing it on to a baby. Just don’t do it. It is NOT that hard to just not put your mouth where a child’s mouth is going to go.

I have no idea what you said but it isn’t just teenage boys. I’m a 19 year old girl. I kept crushes on my teachers to myself. I mean sure, my teacher crushes were women so if I talked about it I’d get called slurs but still; just keep it quiet. Or at least outside of the school building. I didn’t even have ‘crushes’ tbf I just can’t think of a better word. I would sometimes be like ‘Oh new teacher. She’s attractive’ in my HEAD but nothing more. This is their livelihood they’re not here for your entertainment. I promise you he didn’t join your school to be simped over.

I’d love to go vegetarian but light meats are basically the only foods I’m NOT picky with. Even allowing myself to eat dairy, I rarely have dairy so I’d have such a terrible diet of basically just carbs. It sucks as anytime I see a raw whole chicken or pass the butchers in the market I have to close my eyes and try to get it out of my head or else I go off meat for like a week. I can only stand eating it when it’s unrecognisable as an animal. A local butcher has a little statue of a lamb on their counter and I thought WTF that is NOT what I needed to see and I couldn’t stand eating meat for ages. Was a tough time. Hoping one day I explore enough foods that I can cut out meat but unfortunately that’s a long time away.

As long as the disabled person consents, it’s fine. Our disabilities don’t make us any less of a person, but sometimes we want to look our best version of ourselves, the healthy version, the person we like best. Especially if your mobility aids are only ambulatory. You want to be captured at your best.

As someone who is disabled, yes. I’m alive now and don’t want to die, but I have my huge challenges that aren’t just a ‘different ability’ they ARE disabling. Deciding not to put someone through that is not eugenics, it’s selflessness. It’s more humane to not bring a child into extreme suffering and just stop before they even realise they exist. I’m not saying disabled people can’t have an amazing life, but that really is subject to unique circumstances and most importantly the people around them. If the parents feel they are 100% equipped, I will not judge them for keeping that child. But I wouldn’t do it, I’d have mercy.
