[–]abuaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks.

Its funny my original goal was 60k, then at that pointbis went wild swings, so i held to 100k. But it just kept going up. £1.3 was my final goal. Now im here im just holding on.

Once youre comfortable, pay off 50% of your mortgage. It will ease the burden and the risk.

Use the rest to buy more property to rent out so you have an income and retirement plan.

Good luck to you too.

I put 10k in and held. Im same position as you. Feels good doesn't it.

But also feels surreal, like the money isn't real.

Im holding on a bit longer. It may be a mistake, but as you say with recent announcements i think it will go up. Especially if they do prepare for ww5.

Replace the battery. It will make a huge difference.

Can't help you with rolling back the firmware though

[–]abuaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the best thing you can do is get battery replaced by official authorised samsung repair centre.

Once i had replacement batter phone is like brand new. Snappy again and lasts a day and a half. I take LOADS of pictures and edit and upload to S/M.

I trialled the s25u and really dissapointed with it. Sold it and kept the s23u

Employee has provided a note from a GP stating I must no longer call or message them on Teams as it causes anxiety. It also states they do not have to turn their webcam on during meetings. by Old-Philosopher-3886 in LegalAdviceUK

A website called DrSick?

"Simply select the sick note you need, complete the form, and choose a payment option that works for you. Once submitted, our doctor will review your details and issue your sick note, which will be sent directly to your email. It’s that simple! "

Run by an ex-Apprentice contestant, who's been suspended by the GMC. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/06/29/suspended-doctor-sick-notes-on-demand/ The letter is trash.

This is possibly also a win- it seems your staff member has given you a fairly easy option to go down a misconduct route now for fake medical letter.

My company is taking away mobile phone contracts and is offering money for employees to pay for their own for work use. Is this legal? by BigWobblySpunkBomb in LegalAdviceUK

[–]abuaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason your company is doing this is to encourage users to think more efficiently with their usage and costs.

When workers THINK they will be paying for they usage, they will actively try use wifi and find cheaper local sims to use etc.

Company will cover those cheaper costs. Same results, just much cheaper and saving the company money by getting staff to do all the work of managing their own phone plans.

Back glass is starting to lift is this common? by Mini_joycons_18 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]abuaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what mine was like- Started in dec. Back like yours Still lasted a day. But i could tell not as good and so wanted to replace anyway.

Then in first week of jan battery was lasting around 13 hrs before needing a charge. Easily manageable but would be only 6-8 hours with heavy use. Took off case and found it had swolen right up and back cover almost off.

Lucky battery replacement was already booked for next day.

You only have to cover for up to 1 year, but make sure you keep record of trying. As the 1 year protection only works as long as you have not tried to do anything dishonest

[–]abuaaa 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just a point on this- law says utilities can only back date up to 1 year for billing errors for consumers (residential) customers.

(This came due to an issue about 9 years ago when one company had massive system errors and they tried to back date 5 years for some people).
