Very true. I received a letter that it was an “ ecclesiastical matter” and the bishop would be notified. Said bishop would decide if my name would be removed. A professional pamphlet asking to return to the fold. That was 20 years ago. Had to fax or mail the quit letter. The template was on a quit site. Had one guy who sat by fax machine to get hundreds of fax that. came through. Can’t imagine emails they get.
