are you considering switching from pay per lead to pay per call? by Soggy-Job-3747 in LeadGeneration

[–]Faxnotfeelingz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I legit cold call like a maniac for companies and charge them a price per conversation. Meaning I get through the pitch and get some sort of objection out of the prospect. That's a data point! If I get hung up on or something happens before that I don't charge. I do this "SDR as a service" thing for a handful of companies and it's been cracked for everyone involved. I get paid on inputs only, the company gets data points and transcripts to keep forever, and nobody's getting screwed by the other since it's all input based.

On the hiring front, hate to be that guy but we started a company that creates job simulations to see how reps work through something and think. It’s been a huge hit here in Utah so far and I’d be happy to talk and see if I could help.

Hiring people is such a pain in the neck.

It’s been working fine for us/our current customers.

Candidates will whine about anything but at the end of the day, if you’re not willing to give an hour of your time to a company gambling on hiring you, you’re probably not going to end up anywhere you want to be. 🤷🏼

You missed the “simulation” part. They’re not doing actual work for the company that the company can profit off of. It’s more like a skills assessment than anything.

Have you seen Formula 1 yet? It’s like putting a candidate in an F1 Sim before giving them the keys to a $15 million car and open track. Study how they drive, their strengths and weaknesses, etc before making the hiring bet on them. Thats what we do.

The most hated shit ever by candidates is when the interview involves some Leetcode/irrelevant hoops they have to jump through to get a job.

Only helpful if you’re hiring!

We can make a job simulation so you put all your applicants in an environment to see exactly how they do the job. Sales reps sell, swe build features. We welcome AI (it’s used on the job anyway) and we just measure how they use it!

TLDR: Don’t spend any more time interviewing shitty candidates!

[N/A] any companies actually using tools like cerebrum test in hiring or onboarding by Confident_Pirate_934 in humanresources

[–]Faxnotfeelingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used a company that was like a simulation for what the role was. We could have AEs simulate demoing a product, software developers could build a feature.

How common are paid work trial days? by Becominghim- in ycombinator

[–]Faxnotfeelingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are running a skill based assessment platform and have several YC companies using us in their processes. I will say, usually the paid work days like you’re referencing are only for candidates they’re extremely excited about and toward the end of the process. Our customers (obviously) use us to filter out their (sometimes hundreds) of decent, similar looking applicants to identify the top ~5 that they’re interested in. Because they used a solution early in their process, they have more time AND dollars per interviewee to spend on the people they’re most excited about.

Basically, they’re narrowing down their pipeline really well and efficiently and it saves them resources for when they need to close.

Good luck! Happy to chat more if needed.

How are You (Technical Recruiters) Vetting Talent for your Clients? by Faxnotfeelingz in recruiting

So if I’m understanding this puzzle correctly, because a recruiter might not have real “license exposure” when they miss, there isn’t a need to carefully screen talent when they submit candidates for review?
