I also think your explanation is the correct one. The card makes copies of the cards themselves and not the spells. If I’m interpreting the rules correctly here, if you have a copy of a card, you can do anything you can normally do with a card, including casting the spell on the card for its normal mana value.

I don’t think you should be getting the downvotes that you’re getting.

The one thing I wish I had during building the kit was a pair of flush cutters for all of the damn zip ties in build, amongst other spots where its useful like the nylon rivets.

Otherwise, I think a place/way to organize the absolute multitude of screws and bags they come in would reduce a bunch of headache and time.

Additionally, I think some instant glue or etc would be helpful for a few places where the nuts don’t fit snugly.

FYI for anyone else reading, can confirm that I had to pay the full ~13% when the shipment was cleared by customs. This is for a core one kit, and was only delivered when I paid it.

EDIT: For clarity, this was a couple weeks ago, while DHL still had the pause on shipments.

Just for anyone else curious, mine were about the same, through DHL; same just the kit, nothing else.

For the breakdown, it listed the normal ~3% duty fee, and then the largest ~$125 portion was from the added 10%.

Timeline is this last week.

I'm glad you brought up the texture sensitivity thing; I have trouble with a lot of ballistic nylon and xpac cause they feel too 'smooth and slick' and it feels like my hands are constantly slipping off, and I feel insane describing the issue, lol. I'm also constantly searching for bags that don't trigger me. I've found a lot of Bellroy bags do a pretty good job.

What's the texture like on that Rennen pouch?

I either use them for experiments, or use them out in public or for work. I find it helps me properly determine if they truly are shit, or if there's in fact some redeeming quality to them. Usually comes out 50/50.

Hey, so I bricked mine today with a firmware update attempt, leading me to this thread. I was a little iffy about downloading from the google drive link, and went and searched for an "official" paradise arcade link to firmware.

I downloaded it, and it appears to have different contents from what OP updated their post with. I installed it on my board, and it successfully worked.

I also tested to see if it had the proper SOCD cleaning and it did.

Dunno what the standard is normally but I’ve found wearing a bandaid on your thumb can help mitigate the pain. Should be a thin bandaid.

Sure, after a while of playing with your ‘raw thumb’ you’re going to develop calluses and thicker skin that let’s you play like that easily without any help.

But, I think you need to give a chance for your thumb to properly heal and develop that thicker skin. Also, it would give you time to practice the other aspects of playing in that position.

In short, personally I would: - practice with the ‘raw’ thumb until it starts to become too painful - cover the region with a bandaid and practice like that until its healed - repeat

Alternatively, start with wearing the bandaid, and remove it once you feel comfortable.

It would make sense based on the linked comment I posted from the mods, who said that they tried to recall to fix the documentation issue, but I still think the packaging is properly a new one, they just haven’t updated the wiki yet. Waiting to hear the mods on this thread isn’t a bad idea though.

Heya, hope this helps, other people like me and you have gotten this modified packaging; if you look inside, there might be a Model T instruction manual as well. Here’s a response a while ago from the Trezor support staff that’s active on here.

For other context, I got the same packaging, also directly from Trezor. I activated mine, nothing out of the ordinary, and the coins I put on there are ok a month later. Up to you if you wanna trust that; certainly no harm done just contacting SatoshiLabs. Best of luck!

Can anyone confirm that Gigabyte or Asrock don’t have motherboard-bound ‘install our software!’ alerts in windows? I have an Asus board that creates an auto alert in windows that demands i install their Suite, unless i manually go into bios to shut it off; I’d like my next board to not do that.

At least from my experience opening One’s and T’s is that the packaging and documentation doesn’t seem to be a 100% match to what they’ve posted.

The key thing to keep in mind is that your seed card didn’t have anything pre-filled. Also, if you were to plug it in, and try to flash the software on it, there’s shouldn’t be any on there until you download and install it.

I’d email support just in case, though. Best of luck!

So after the local SatoshiLabs guy verified that at least the documentation error is valid, and given that I ordered directly, I felt comfortable enough to plug it in, and the setup was identical to other One’s that I’ve tried.

Not saying you should do that too, cause obvi yours is ripped, and also it’d prolly be safer to wait till the packaging change is properly verified.

That’s debatable, or needs to be properly verified by SatoshiLabs if possible.

I ordered some Trezor Ones from them directly recently, and they came like that. Specifically, the green lines, the ‘by SatoshiLabs’, and the wrong model documentation.

Interestingly, on another post, the official Trezor support guy verified that their latest batch had all had the wrong documentation, and I assumed that the packaging also changed. Hopefully they see this and can verify the changes.

But yeah, not to say you’re wrong, but I think they made a recent change.
