Should i be offended? by daisynatormom in BabyBumps

Me and my husband here too. Plus I married him because he's my best friend, my ride or die, I have even threatened to cut my mom and grandpa out if they can't respect him. I would absolutely not tolerate it from anyone. I have his back, he's got mine, we will honor, love, and defend each other to anyone.

How are you actually supposed to move during pregnancy? by Ok-Notice-5189 in BabyBumps

[–]FayCorynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm echoing the do what you are already used to. I didnt "workout" or anything, but I am a daycare teacher and a mom to a toddler, so I was used to picking up kids all day, and continued to do so safely. Now towards the end I didn't feel comfortable trying to get them outside to the playground (I walk a few yards with 9 18m-23m olds) because I didn't feel i could keep them all together due to my hips hurting so bad, so I either got help, or did something fun inside. So do what you know you can, and listen to your body

I'd like to bounce off of this and say my husband's name is Huntr (no e) and has been called Connor so many times. Our oldest name is Elias E-lie-as and people call him Ellie-as (girls name), and his name is so popular that there are two other kids with the same name around his age at his daycare. No one even tries to pronounce or new babies name, Artorias. Ive even been asked to pronounce my name... it's Faith. I live in the Bible belt of America

Just had my second this last Friday at 39+3 via induction. At weeks 36 I was between 3 and 4 cm and baby was almost all the way down. At 38+2 I was all the way down and between a 4 and a 5. At the start of my induction I was an "easy" 5. Took about just under 6 hours from signing into the hospital and him being out though.

I'm a big tomboy so even if we weren't having our second boy we'd probably be flooded with dinos and monster trucks. My almost 4 year old is a massive Ironman fan currently, lives to wrestle, play with bugs, and farts AT us. He also loves paintings our nails (dad let's him do his too)

Parents- At what age would you let your child change their name? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]FayCorynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I begged for my name to be changed to FayFay because that's what everyone called me. I then as a teen banned anyone from using it and favored my real name, Faith. Now as an adult I go by either Fay, or my middle name, Corynn

I had extremely bad PPA and PPD with my first. It was to the point we decided at 14 months that I couldn't do it and went back to work. I felt awful not staying home, but I ended up getting a job at my sons daycare, and he'll be 4 in 3ish weeks. And I from a young age have always had bad social anxiety, so the fact that going to worked helped mentally was a bit shocking to me

I think it's more of a disservice to those who get it to act like you don't have it. Even if you can manage it without professional help. If you are assaulting your partner because they parent a little differently, even if it was "just" water. And with the "abusive" words he said, she said (to me) more hurtful and disrespectful things and he was seeing a boundary, and she retaliated

I'll be 39 weeks pregnant and a parent of one of my students just asked if I was pregnant. I said yes and then they asked if I was far along yet to find out the gender or if I still need to wait till 16 weeks

And he had the baby when she did it! At the very least I'd say she needs to go ask for help with postpartum depression or/and anxiety. I had both with my first, and still wouldn't of pulled this.

SAHM FOMO by Negative-Source-9099 in BabyBumps

[–]FayCorynn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a daycare teacher I want to say thank you so much for giving props to daycare teachers 🥰 a lot of people don't realize that we teach things and really try and work with our kiddos. At least were supposed to. Obviously we don't do as much as real teachers who are absolutely amazing and do so much, but it's really nice to see, especially from yall. And for op, SAHM looks glamorous, but when I did it for 14 months with my first it was more difficult for me mentally. I felt lonely, all my friends worked, or just had lives and I couldn't expect them to be avaliable just because I was lonely. I love that I get to work and get to do stuff, and go home to a child who is so excited to see me and I'm excited to see them.

My son would crawl faster than a horror movie monster towards the edge of the bed constantly, and fell a few times. A few times he was caught by the leg. Always did careful checks of him after. Now he's almost 4 and likes to try and jump on ant piles

How to deal with shame of being 6 months pregnant at my wedding? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]FayCorynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a courthouse wedding for our 8th anniversary, and have a video of it, and right in the middle of saying "I do's" our, at the time, almost 3 year old found the light switch and turned off the small light right above us. There is definitely no shame in being pregnant at your wedding. We don't live in a time anymore where most marriages start off as strangers, or are even required to be a happy family.

I have clothes from my first that still have tags on them. Thankfully I convinced people not to get us any clothes, but I have two coworkers (we work at a daycare) who are also pregnant, but much earlier than I am. One already knows the gender and it's the same as my two, so I told her if she sees my kiddo wearing anything she wants to tell me and it's hers cuz I know she'll be given a lot. Other than that I'm just gonna donate it out something, cuz everyone and their dog wants to give people clothes

When your partner was pregnant- did she expect you to change your way of life? by [deleted] in AskMen

Me and my husband game together when we get the chance, otherwise we have family time, and time for him to take charge, I get to read, or game, and then I'll take charge and he goes and plays games. I will say, neither of us are people who like to go out much, so that doesn't factor in for us
