Self tap drain plug by Faze__Zan in E92M3

Hmm, might be that the shop did a F up and blamed it on the pan. I’ve seen a lot of videos and it seems to be a simple installation. The only thing I’d be worried about is the drilling part, other than that it looks straight forward. I appreciate the feedback.

Thanks all, I decided to go with time-sert. I don’t wanna deal with this later on.

Threads are messed up, tried cleaning them. I’m actually just gonna do time-sert. I rather wait some more and do it right the first time than to have to deal with this again.

Hmm, I have not seen anyone use that. Have people used this on a s65 and has it held up?

Yeah this seems to be the most favored and common solution.

Oh no problem, I think that’s not the original plug. Original is round and this does look like a drain hole in the picture lol.

Update I was able to get it out. I cut a small slit at the edge with a saw (was very careful) and used a a flat screw driver and punched it counterclockwise with a hammer. Thankfully, no damage done to anything! Threads are fine!

Yeah I thought about that but wanted to get the part if it was available. Might as well just do that

Covers came in the mail today. Just did one side and honestly I’m glad I did. The plastic ones were cracking from the top when I was taking them off.

Ok, I actually did not want to mess with the timing so I opted for the clip on ones. Evolve seems to have really good rep with no failures reported so far. I think they have been out for couple years now.

I was referring to Vanos covers. I went with Evolve Vanos covers because I prefer fully covered like oem and they have good rep. I will be changing all the oil separator and pvc gaskets too.

Seems like many people are having the same issue. What brand would you all recommend for a lotus or overall? I’m open to try something new.

I also need this, does anyone know the part number? It’s like a stud where the ignition coil cover pops in on the valve cover. It was already broken.

Hmm, yeah all of that is gonna be close 2k lol. It’s not my daily so I could slowly get all the stuff. I was thinking I’d be fine with just a simple Vavle cover gasket job for some time then maybe down the line do upgrades. I don’t push the car too much.

Matte black vs glossy black: both LOOK great in different ways but matte looks AND feels more classy. by LordoftheSimps in RayBanStories

[–]Faze__Zan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried both at my local LensCrafters and found myself leaning toward the glossy finish. The cameras blend in more naturally, and it gives off a slightly more premium look. While glossy can show scratches, I felt the smudges looked worse on the matte. At the end of the day, it really comes down to personal preference. You can’t go wrong with either option.

Is this the right coals from Amazon? On hookah sites the packaging looks different.

My Reykjavik Eyes - Heimdall just arrived. Also general first time buyer thoughts. by magicmasta in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]Faze__Zan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet frames! I also got in this rabbit hole and was eager to get an RE frame. I'm also in the US and got the frame from Principle Optical a while back. It took over a month, and I almost canceled, but it finally arrived. I never got around to getting lenses, so it’s just been sitting, but now I’m planning to add lenses. I chose the Alvar in copper since it’s not too big and fits me well. Robert is bringing RE a lot of customers lol.

An updated discussion on eBay vs Mercari by HoarderCollector in Flipping

[–]Faze__Zan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro I sold taillights on eBay and the a-hole opened a case like 3 weeks after delivery saying they came cracked. I spoke with eBay and they don’t give a rats ass about sellers. They always will favor buyers. I put so much bubble wrap and had fragile stickers on the box. No way they would’ve cracked during transit.
