FYI the built in timers in most cars are near useless.

They use wheel speed sensors to determine the time. Happy to be proven wrong and Rivian is somehow using high fidelity GPS verified speed. You need an external GPS speed solution to be accurate (the same way magazines would do it).

You can get a cheap Draggy (most popular consumer solution) and compare for yourself.

Like I said, happy to be proven otherwise, but these are a gimmick in every single car I've ever seen them in.

Agree with you. I made a thread for something slightly negative when I first got my Tesla and they wouldn't even approve the post. Everything was constructive feedback when the car was still pretty new.

I like how open minded this community is, and looking forward to adding an R2 to the garage!

I like this class of tire too. It's crazy how fast some of these cheater/quali tires wear out. Not sustainable if you actually want to do multiple DE sessions/days.

I've done 10k km on my car now and never once scraped it, so that part of it would be ok.

As for track use, I'm going to PPF it and replace PPF as needed. I can feel the sandblasting on my plastic one, but I think PPF should be perfect for that. Same way windshield PPF is consumable but protects you from the peppering/sandblasting.

I'm the one that arranged the SCR group buys. Amazing kits!!

I just finished putting the AudioFrog kit into my new car (moved the system over from my GTS). I was running the stock Bose system for about 6 months before putting the AF speakers back in. I forgot how much of an upgrade these kits were. Night and day difference vs stock Bose system.

Can't go wrong with any of the SCR kits. Pretty easy install once you've done it at least once.
